We had a short but pleasant stay at an expansive and well-maintained camping ground, managed by extremely friendly staff. Our brief visit was made more enjoyable by the beautiful spot they arranged for us, featuring a full hookup pull-through site, mature trees, and generous space between surrounding sites. Despite arriving around the evening meal, the staff took the effort to guide us to our site and ensured a hassle-free setup. Although we didn't have enough time to fully explore the camping ground, it's easy to see why it's so highly rated. We're definitely planning a return visit! The Verizon network registered download speeds of 52.70mbps, upload speeds of 6.64mbps, and streaming speeds of 3.8mbps. Meanwhile, the AT&T network showed download speeds of 77.82mbps, upload speeds of 1.39mbps, and streaming speeds of 1.4mbps.

I made a reservation and we were delayed due to an accident. I had a pleasant conversation with Nancy who gave us directions and welcomed us when we arrived at the office. The staff guided our RV to our assigned spot. The campsite is quite attractive. The facilities for laundry and showering are very tidy. There's a small shop on site, but we got there late so I couldn't really take a look at what they had for sale. Our stay here is only for a night, so my feedback is somewhat limited. However, from what I can tell, the owners seem to maintain the campsite well. It was an ideal and peaceful place for our one-night stay. We're novices in the world of RV camping. This is the first time I've used this site. I hope my future selections will be just as enjoyable as this one was!!! Alison.

Our visit was limited to a single evening, but we discovered this camping site to be quite serene and spotless. The proprietors were extremely kind and supportive. We regretted not being able to extend our stay.

What a great campground. Pride in Ownership shows everywhere. The sites are nicely sized and level. Most are pull through. Very large and well cared for Dog park. Nice walking trails for the pups. The facilities are spotless and the grounds are very nice. Good size swimming pool and small camp store. One of the nicest friendly campground we have stayed at.

This is our second time staying here and it’s been a wonderful experience. Sites are nicely payed out and level with plenty of space between sites. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. The grounds have a whimsical appeal . Pool is secluded down a short path beside a garden . Several ponds, extra large fenced dog yard and the Restrooms and laundry are exceptional. Nothing but positives.

We stopped here for one night on our way out west. We got here around 8 pm but it was close to I70, clean and a quaint spot. Would stay again.

Lazy Days is a very cute, kitschy, campground with lots of art work scattered about the pool and between the sites. The bathrooms are very nicely decorated with painted stall doors etc. and they are very clean. This campground is located about a mile and a half from I70 on MO Hwy J. Our GPS could not find Hwy J but we were able to call and get directions from the office. Arrival was quick and efficient and we got an escort to our site (#15). The sites are very close together to the point that we had to pull in our awning to let our neighbors pull their trailer out and on the other side their pop-up awning was only a few feet from the side of our coach. All of the sites seem to be on the top of small hills making it a bit hard to level but we were able to get pretty close without our wheels coming off the ground. We did see at least one Class C with their front wheels several inches off the ground. All of the sites are gravel with small strips of grass. All though the cell service was a bit low the camp WiFi was very usable. This is a great campground for a one night quick stay close to the highway and and easy in and out. We loved the art work but would have preferred less gravel!

Typical RV Park, spots are stacked too close - telephone pole blocked my awning :-( fire ring too close to neighbor site. New owners are great, clean CG.

This place is so nice. All gravel, no mud. Sites are level, and pretty large. Very clean campground. Has so much personality - art to look at everywhere. We loved that. We paid $38 - which is a huge bargain for a campground of this quality. Several little ponds to enjoy and even a couple of walking trails. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The laundry and shower house was very clean and unique. Corn hole and other yard games set out for your use. Pool looks huge and very nice (we didn’t use). Huge fenced in dog area. Possibly the nicest campground we have stayed at. Wish we had more time to enjoy it!

We stopped over for 1 night- mostly just trying to get out of St Louis and this was the closest thing I could find to the interstate. This is such a nice property and I wish we'd stayed several days instead of just one night. The owners are really putting money and effort back into the property. The laundry and bathhouse are immaculate. There are trails to walk after a long day or early morning. That morning we walked down through the woods to a small lake, watched a goose and listened to turkeys calling. There is a nice fenced dog area. There wood carvings all over the property which are fun to walk around and look at. A nice spot for tenting too - the tent area was away from the RVs. It's really quiet and very well cared for, easy to get to and out of. This will definitely be on my can't miss list any time we come through the area and we'll definitely stay for a few days next time.

Stayed here on way to Colorado. Enjoyed it so much that we ask if they had room for us on our way back home. Well, we are on our way back and just arrived back to Lazy Day. Word is out about this campground because it is full. Nancy and Dan take such pride and work hard to make sure their guest are comfortable. Nancy warmly welcomed us back and Dan escorted us again to our site and lined us up perfectly. Lazy Day is our favorite campground and it will now always be a stopping point for us. Details to site layout, functionality, and comfort were well planned. Bathrooms and laundry have AC. Connectivity worked very well. PS..We noticed the many billboards advertising a nearby store called Cranes. Glad we visited it because it had an impressive inventory. It also had a museum next to it that was also a surprise and definitely worth checking out.

We stopped here last minute to get outside of St. Louis and they were so helpful to get us in quickly. Staff was very friendly and the bathrooms/ laundry extremely clean! The camp itself was very clean and the sites were level with groomed gravel. They have a great little walking trail to a pond and our daughter even caught a nice size bass! Would stay here again!

We chose Lazy Day for our very first trip. They were out of full hookups but we had electric and water. It's a great little place; big dog park, two catch and release fishing lakes, a big game area with horseshoes, washers, and other games, a couple of clubhouses and a nice little pool. The laundry, bathrooms and showers were very clean. For $7 they will bring a decent load of firewood to your site, enough for a couple nights. Note: There is NO central dump. If you're going to need to dump, you'll need full hookup sites and not the water and electric only sites.

Beautiful property, welcoming and friendly. Dan showed me the way to my campsite, and made sure to pull out his Level before he left! Dog park is great, the pond is beautiful. The attention to detail at this campground is among the best I’ve ever seen. Easy access off I70. Was a perfect reprieve after KS. Highly recommended.

We stayed a night here on our way from Tennessee to Colorado. A little over an hour west of St Louis, we were really impressed with everything this place had to offer. We read all of the great reviews before making the decision to stay...and we’re glad we found this hidden gem. Nice facilities and the people that run it are awesome...and extremely accommodating. We got in after dark and they were there to greet us. They guided us to our spot and came back to check on us once we were all set up for the night. We will definitely keep this spot on our list when in the area.

We stayed here for a month in order to reduce our travel during the coronavirus outbreak and paid just $500 for our stay. Owners Dan and Nancy guided us to our site and helped us position the camper (our site was pull-through but the entry made for a tight turn). We didn’t make use of the bathrooms or showers during our stay, and none of the recreational buildings were open due to the virus, but we made use of the laundry room. The office building includes a small store with various snacks and souvenir items, and they sell propane: if you have portable tanks they will refill them and drop them off at your site. Each site comes with a picnic table and fire ring, and firewood is available for purchase (and that will also be delivered to your site). I work a 40-hour work week and require a constant internet connection. The campground is 1 mile south of I-70, and by pointing my Verizon hotspot device with MIMO antenna towards I-70 I was able to get between 40-60Mbps down and 5Mbps up, which was more than enough for work and also for streaming TV shows. My AT&T signal on my smartphone was also good. Despite being close to I-70, there is no road noise, and on a clear night you can see a decent number of stars. This is a very dog-friendly campground. The dog park is large with a 4-foot fence and double-gates at each end. There are other grassy areas to walk your dogs near the front of the campground. The gravel sites and roads means there’s less chance of tracking mud into the camper, though there were some spots where our greyhounds didn’t like to walk because the gravel was too loose or the rocks were too large. The campground has a lot of cool little bonus features. There’s a koi pond just off the road leading to the office and you can buy fish food to feed them. There’s also a small fishing pond that we saw a number of guest take advantage of. At the back of the campground is a wide gravel trail leading down to a small lake, and there’s a hiking trail that leads to the other side of the lake and up the hillside. There are several wooden sculptures and totem poles scattered throughout the campground, and the outdoor hangout space near the pool has a number of artistic decorations. We enjoyed our stay there and plan on returning the next time we are in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Upon arrival the owners gave us a map and pointed out points of interest, and then escorted us to our site. The gravel site was level and long enough for our 27' trailer and truck. Because we were camping with some family, we reserved buddy sites so that we shared a common space between us (#35 & #36). The grounds and facilities are clean and well maintained, and the owners very friendly and helpful. There is a nice dog park, a pool and lawn games, as well as laundry facilities with bathrooms and showers. It was a great experience and we will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here one night on a long trek to the West. Conveniently located about 1.5 miles off I70. Very friendly owner took our reservation details and arranged for a late check-in. Pull through sites with gravel pads, electricity, water, and sewer. Wi-Fi signal was decent but internet connectivity non-existent. Bathrooms were very clean, and the campground buildings were nicely decorated. Sites were terraced into the side of a hill thus giving a nice view. Would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed here before and now again. Would stay here in the future again also !! We were in Site #32 , we had to use a 2" riser/yellow lego on one side, to get level. Pull thru long enough for our truck and 23 ft Tr. Trailer to stay hitched. WiFi was so-so but we bring our own hot spots ( and boosters) and they had Great Verizon , AT&T not so much.... Quiet place, shaded, nice big dog park. Very nice showers/bathroom. Very friendly welcoming staff. Great value for the $$.

We really enjoyed the chill environment. The owners were both very nice and seemed to be helping people get to their sites long after they had closed. They had a nice pool although we didn’t use it because of the rain. I would definitely come back here again for an overnight or a couple days if I felt like just being lazy. It was a cool environment and I’d be happy to put my feet up there.
