The park is incredibly beautiful and offers numerous activities. I stayed there for one night on June 11th, 2023. However, the constant traffic of vehicles in and around the campsite during the night made it a bit loud. I also noticed chiggers in the grass, and upon informing a park employee the next morning, he mentioned they would need to reapply insecticide. Although it was bearable for a single night's stay, I would prefer a different location for my next visit.

I reached the city and stopped at the bustling Walmart in the vicinity. I'm pleased I referred to the information provided by Campendium as the camping area turned out to be quite pleasant. The chill weather towards the end of May made sleeping undisturbed. Upon my departure, I discovered a swarm of moths had made themselves at home in my van! Despite this, I wouldn't have minded extending my stay for a couple more nights. Payment was straightforward at the small structure visible upon entry.

There's ample activity to occupy a single evening here. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the petite body of water. It's surrounded by a fence, with various wildlife freely wandering about, including elk, deer, and three buffalo. While there's no electricity available at any of the sites, the adjacent park to the RV zone makes it a worthwhile spot to spend the night for a mere $10.

This is a very convenient campground that doesn’t feel like you in a parking lot as many quick access campgrounds do. Beautiful trees and relaxing afternoon was just what we needed to break from the high winds of the day.

What a great park! It was pretty busy while we were there with peewee football and it looks like the park is used by the community. The camping area is lovely with big trees and green grass. Paved/gravel sites. Ours was very level #37. Water and dump station outside the restrooms. Cars did drive through later, like around 11pm, and there was some traffic noise from the highway, but overall not too bad. There were 3 campers the night we stayed. Can’t beat it for $10!!

This is a City facility that is well taken care of. The pads are paved and level. This provides a great spot for becoming a base location for local site seeing. As a train buff, I was easily able to hop on my scooter and visit the nearby rail yard, Bailey Yard as well museums. The area was very quiet at night. There was some noise from the nearby thoroughfare but really not bad.

Just off the highway and close to services. Easy check-in. Easy hookups. My concern is the many large dead limbs overhead. If a big storm comes it could easily cause damage. They badly need an arborist\! We would stay again on an overnight. Verizon was ok.

This is a great place to stop over night, there is something for everyone to do. This park comes with a whole lot of things to see and do, we go from history, art, animal’s, tennis, golf frisbee, canoeing, and I’m sure there is more. $10 a night no hookups but there is water and a dump station by the restrooms. I can’t comment on the bathrooms I didn’t go in. What also made it nice was it was patrolled several times while we were their. Thank you to the Blue

$10. Dry camping. There is water and dump station next to the bathrooms. You park along the North Platte River. The park is fun! They have a locomotive train exhibit to go through. John is passionate about trains and is very kind. There are a bunch of playgrounds, bbqs, even a fireplace. Animals - bison, deer, birds, peacocks, etc. An ice cream stand. The kid park and carousel were not open when we walked around. Would have liked to stay another day and go to the Golden Spike Tower.

Everything about this campground was good except for the location, which was directly beside the I80 interstate. There was lots of highway noise! Otherwise, there were level sites, good power/water/laundry, and nice trees. The campground would be great if it could be picked up and moved to a quiet location.

I arrived after dark and didn't see any signs for fees or campground rules. The "free camping" app I used didn't list much information. After 360 miles fighting the wind on I-80, I was exhausted so I found an empty spot and parked away from a few other vehicles which looked like they were parked for the night. The next morning I saw a woman in a Class B parked a couple of spots up from me. Ten hours later as I left, I kept looking for campground rules and fee information but never saw any. Great free night stay for this exhausted traveler.

Winter check-in process is well documented and simple. An old phone booth at the entrance acts as a check-in station to pay for the site and get the information you need. Enjoyed that it was freeway close and acted as a well appointed and safe rest point. Was able to stream video off of campsite provided WiFi, but there were very few other rigs there.

Our reserved site was ridiculously hard to get into with a sewer orifice right where my left front tire needed to travel to avoid the right side of our 35’ fifth wheel from scraping a tree. Course it’s on a dead end so you have no choice. It shouldn’t take an experienced RV’er 20 minutes to get into a pull thru! Site 80 should NEVER been assigned to even our medium sized rig! The internet sign in was most cumbersome I’ve ever dealt with. Gave up on it. I’d return here, but I’d make sure that it was not site 80. Overall, the park seemed pretty good, but a critical part of their job is to put visitors in an appropriate site. They did not.

Fun staff, very helpful and friendly. Gave us a discount for using cash of $5. Other reviews stated that the train was near and loud, but we really didn't hear it at night. We would definitely stay again.
