Compact, cramped, uneven pitches. The drainage outlets are situated on a slope, which presents a challenging and intriguing task when emptying the reservoirs! The person in charge, John, was the most discourteous staff member I've ever encountered at KOA.

The park was easy to find. It is located at the same exit as Harper’s Ferry National Historical Park. There is pavement all the way including inside the park.. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are in very good condition. Our site, 104, was a gravel back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp, water, sewer and cable) were to the left side. Distancing is close for a rural park. Our site (considered a deluxe patio but that is all that was available) was a graveled back in. It had a concrete patio, a swing bench, patio table with four chairs and a fire pit but no picnic table. It was flat and slightly sloped to the rear. Overall the park appeared to be well maintained but it would have been nice of the thick layer of leaves would have been raked or blown away before we arrived. We raked the site ourselves so as to not have our dog track them into the coach. There is park included wifi (5G) and cable TV. Satellite should not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. The Laundromat had many washers and driers out of order but we had no problem finding a working set. The pool and other amenities were closed for the season while we were there. There are trails from the park as well as bicycle rentals on site. An interesting feature is that the park encompasses part of the battle field. There are numerous markers showing points of interest. If you are looking for peace and quiet please be aware. This is a KOA and geared for youngsters and their partying parents. It did get quite loud in the evenings. There is a camp store on site but no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance. Just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be a good base for visiting local attractions but at $95.00 per night and we did not feel we received fair value. We would look for a quieter more economical location if we were to return.

It was easy to access and in a prime location to enjoy Harper’s Ferry. That’s where the positives ended for us. Our neighbor was so close that his slide-out was within a foot of our picnic table and so close to the fire ring, we could not safely light a fire. All the sites in our area, we were in site 48, also had significant slopes requiring substantially lifting the front of the camper with blocks and tongue jack. There are some good sites further back that actually had some room between each other and trees for shade. Otherwise, a typical KOA. Lot’s of families and kiddos and really seems to be aimed at that demographic. Since it’s basically the only game in town, if we’re headed back to Harper’s Ferry we’ll likely stay again, but pay the extra to select our spot ahead of time and get one in the back-9.

We are pleased with this KOA. Sites are close but it’s a KOA and they are in the business of packing campers in. People that complain about close sites need to stay out of KOA’s and stick to state parks. Our particular site is great. Very roomy and not on top of our neighbors on the camp side. Facilities are nice and staff is friendly and super attentive. Wi-Fi is great/fast but can lag when the park is busy, repeaters all over… cable is fine, OTA works too. Showers are clean and are individual locking rooms. Can’t really say anything bad about it, BTW we are staying in the section with the Civil War trench so it’s very wooded and shaded. There’s another section that’s full sun, wouldn’t want to be in that section when it’s 100 out. Give it a try, people tend to complain easily and compliment rarely.

Stayed here in March 2021 and the campsite was fairly empty. I realize it was off-season and I was really just passing through but very few staff around and very quiet. I came in fairly late. Pretty standard koa but no tree cover where I was located. Very close to Harpers Ferry Battlefield (right next door I think). I had a feeling that this place must get packed in the summer.

Shocked that I was charged extra for my medical alert service animal. Also, as a KOA member I made my reservation online. My profile calls my service animal a pet because KOA doesn’t have a place for service animals and in two years of staying at KOAs across the USA ive never been charged extra. This was more a matter of principal than money. It was just $2 but still. There was no secret. Why surprise me with an extra charge on check in. Woman had zero personality too.

Horribly close sites. My dump and utilities were 2 ft from neighbors front door. Didn’t hook up water or sewage to help them out. Sewage was also 30+ feet from back of camper. Near front of sight. Once everyone was in, no way to get rig out, too tight. We left Monday so no issue. Excellent shop and nice coffee shop. Wine tasting also. Canon firing is cool unless you have a anxious dog like ours. Big jumping pillow for kids located just down wind from sewage treatment plant. Stayed because of location, would look for something different next time.

Very narrow sites, broken sewer hookups and trash filled fire pit. We checked in on a Sat for a three day weekend and quickly found that our pull through was really a back in due to how tight things are. No biggie, I’m fine with maneuvering our big 5er and only took a pull through due to availability for all the nights without having to move but it could be a problem for someone that didn’t realize it. While setting up we quickly discovered that the sewer drain was cracked and just loosely sitting on the ground and the fire pit was full of trash from last occupant. The neighbor’s sewer hookup was 3’ from our picnic table…and broken too. Glad we didn’t pay for the deluxe site as the one next to us was ‘deluxe’ and was no bigger, just had a poured concrete slab outside the door.

We came out here for Mother’s Day weekend for our first time at this KOA. The store is really nice, it has everything one would need in a pinch. They have lots of fun toys, shirts, magnets, and other trinkets. But that’s where it stops being nice... the sites and service roads are extremely tight. They put us, a 26’ travel trailer at site 143, we had tree butted up right by our trailer so close that we couldn’t take out our awning when we needed it the most during the rain. So because of that, our inside trailer got very dirty. I imagine the trees would be nice during the summer, but they’re difficult to navigate through when the sites are so tight. The sites are not leveled, and many are muddy. Noise level was pretty loud but that was probably due to it being kinda a holiday weekend. It was very crowded unfortunately. The restrooms/bathhouse is very old and could use a good renovation. The wine tasting was sad. They presented wines that are sold in the store, which is good, but the wines were not good. One even tasted like grape juice communion. Yikes. I guess I expect better with KOAs, we will not be back.

The sites are extra narrow and roads are not wide enough to make it easy to setup. Check out is pretty early. The amenities were in good shape. Location is great for visiting Harpers Ferry.
