I believe this is possibly the most pleasant recreational vehicle resort I have ever lodged in. It's conveniently located just off the highway, and the administrative personnel were quite warm and welcoming. The area offers a plethora of engaging activities. Our expenditure of $122 for a three-night stay seemed like a fantastic deal given the wealth of facilities available, such as a gym, outdoor seating area, temperature-controlled swimming pool, and jacuzzi. The only minor drawback is the somewhat cramped parking spaces. I would undoubtedly consider a return visit!

Distant Drums RV Resort is about a 30-mile drive to Sedona. We arrived early to enjoy the drive to Sedona without our trailer in tow. The resort has easy access, many different size sites to fit any size RV, and friendly + helpful staff. The staff guided us to our site when we arrived.

We started out weekly and then monthly. Park was clean, paved roads, site pads. Sites very narrow. Not much maneuvering space. Laundry was far from immaculant( as stated on website) half the washers/dryers were out of order on a daily basis. Washers/dryers were dirty. We always cleaned ours first. Washers 1.75/2.00 - dryers .25/8 minutes. Horseshoe area needs a lot of maintenance. Lots of noise from Hwy 17 on-ramp at all times of the day. Short drive to Casino. Store lacked daily food essentials. Food trucks came regularly. We never ate at them. Church services in community room. Pot lucks every now and then. Cable. Sketchy WiFi ( Tengointernet).

Very clean, well-kept resort with everything you could need. We stayed here as a base camp while we explored Sedona, Flagstaff, Payson and the Verde Valley and we felt very welcomed and comfortable here. We loved that the campsites are concrete, how clean the campground is, and how friendly and accommodating the staff is.

We stayed here based on recognition from some RV instagram bloggers after I realized I waited way too late to book Rancho Sedona (which you will need to book 6+ months out by the way!) I thought this was a good alternative although the 30+ min drive back and forth to Sedona got old quick, even with the beautiful scenery on the way! Initially I was very impressed with the respect this RV park took in regards to indigenous peoples, then I realized it was actually run by Apache Nation which was really cool. Park is very well manicured and clean, however it can be really tight unless you can score the outside Motorhome pull into sites. The pool is too small to really be considered an amenity in my opinion. Also, I echo another review about the laundry room which was the most CHAOTIC place I have been in 6 months. First of all they don't allow laundry pods of any kind so I had to go buy bulky liquid detergent. Even with 20 machines in there and going early in the morning, there was about 8-10 people jammed in a 12x12 room, half of whom were un-masked employees taking up the only folding table in the room to count thousands of quarters?? WTF? I felt like I was in the world's smallest casino and the chaotic energy of people fighting over machines almost made me have a panic attack. The remedy to this is to do your laundry at off hours since it is open 24 hours a day! Montezuma National Monument is only a 3 minute drive away and is a must-do if you have a National Park Annual pass to get in free, otherwise it is $10 per person which is a steep price. Lastly Verizon wasn't great unless you had a booster, but ATT was off the charts good.

I was very impressed with how well the staff ran this campground. It was extremely clean and well-maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Plus the resort offered a great weekly rate. I appreciated a dog play area where dogs could be leash free and interact with each other. I also enjoyed the workout and laundry rooms. All in all I had a very pleasant experience. My only complaints were highway noise, which, of course, they couldn't control, and that sites are packed in pretty tightly. But big rigs seemed to be able to get in and out OK and I had plenty of space for myself and my trailer so I can't complain. Yes, I would be very pleased to return.

Clean Park, staff was nice but the site are so close together there absolutely no privacy. Kids were loud and parents didn’t care. Better suited for family’s and not retired older couples.

We stayed here 7 days and would definitely stay again. Spots are a little tight but everything is very clean and cozy feeling. The pool was clean and warm - bring your own chairs. The laundry facility was clean but extremely crowded during the day so we waited until nighttime to do ours. The campground is within 30 minutes of Sedona which is awesome! So close to other awesome places as well - Montezuma’s castle, Tuzigoot, bearizona, and 2 hours from the Grand Canyon. The park is surrounded by mountains which is beautiful to look at!

We stayed a week. Cost about$250. Upgraded strong wifi another $15 for the week (or $5 per day). Very friendly staff. Large concrete pads with room for rig and toad. We were on the outside edge so had view down toward town of Camp Verde. 25-30 minutes to Sedona hikes. Montezuma's Castle just down the road. Verizon 3 bars.

Clean and quite but Arizona is currently the hottest COVID hotspot on THE PLANET right now and not all staff members here were wearing masks. Unbelievable! Putting us and other guests at risk. It just makes me mad! Otherwise I would have given it 3-4 stars. Sites are really crammed close together.
