Following an extended cold season, we were prepared to transport our mobile home to a local body of water. The Marion Lake remains in a "hibernation state" until the start of April, so we were aware that the bathing facilities and sealed restrooms would be closed. However, there were no fellow outdoor enthusiasts present! This gave us the opportunity to observe the avian wildlife and the rhythmic motions of the lake. This is ideal for those seeking a tranquil, restful break, which was precisely what we required.

Totally clean restrooms (& I'm in the janitorial business), very spacious lots, quiet, and super friendly with boatloads of helpful information

The park is clean, the shower houses are clean. The sites are varied, you can find a site that fits your desires. However, without a boat there isn't much to do. The lake was down when we were there so swimming along the beach edges was out. Also, the lake smelled really bad.

Our family came to Hesston, Kansas on business. We stayed for 2 1/2 months at Cottonwood RV Park, with two medium sized dogs paying $450 a month at that time! All sites are pull through, which makes it easy for us, since we leave early mornings usually! Although the park is along interstate 135, it was very peaceful! We never used the bathroom or showers there, so we can’t speak on that. However, the laundry room was very handy, and clean besides the occasional dirt on the floor that got dragged in by shoes. The Park is in a perfect location with a Walmart about 10 minutes south in Newton along with many other stores and restaurants. Wichita is about 40 minutes south and has many things to do! The only downfalls I had about this RV Park is that the entry into the park was very rough and not even, and that there is only one small/medium dumpster, that the guests fill up quickly! Highly Recommended!

We stayed here overnight on a 10 day trip in late May. I wish I could report something good about the site but other than the hosts being nice people there is nothing I can say. The campground is surrounded with cottonwood trees and the cottonwood pollen was so thick on the ground it looked like it had snowed. I know it's not the owners' fault but I needed to mention it for those like me with allergies. The bathrooms had signs that soap and paper towels were always restocked - they weren't. The bathrooms were dark and damp with ant trails running through them and there was only a bottle of Purell. Luckily there was toilet paper but you might feel more comfortable doing your business in your RV. The site is a pull through and is plenty long for an RV with a tow vehicle but the sites are dirt not gravel, or anything solid and are very uneven. The power was far from the RV and the sewer was near the entrance of the site making it very difficult to use when towing a vehicle.

Got here late. A lot of noise from the highway and garbage pick up at 1am. The owner was very nice. We might stay here again if needed. Otherwise not on our list of places to stay. They have a passport America rate so we paid 15 bucks for the night. That made it worth it

I needed a stopping place and it was getting late. I’m glad I called ahead to ensure a bath house because I learned it’s cash or check only. It was self check in, which I like. It was hard to find a spot in the dark, but worked out well and was glad for the dark when it came to sleeping time. True to its name, it is in a cottonwood grove. There seem to be some permanent residents mixed in, but it was a quiet night. Plusses: -quiet - close to 135 - town nearby for groceries - bath house - shady - grassy and level Minuses - $30 is a little pricy - bathrooms are run down Cash or check only Self check in Bath house - run down but clean Shady, quiet, level, dark Away from the Texas heat misery!
