Sally was fantastic. Following a somewhat difficult journey, we chose to extend our stay by one more night and switch locations. It was a breeze. Despite the park's compact size, the areas are sufficiently spacious with abundant choices for facilities.

Checked in late After hours. They were very accommodating and gave me a very simple straightforward directions. It is a very quiet chill place. Not a place to go and party. If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing location a few minutes away from downtown Carmel this is it

This was a fun place to stay in August 2021 and while I don't actually know our site number we had one of their megawide sites with extra room which was overkill for our small class b. That being said, the site was great, had a propane firepit with chairs and a patio. The small shop had about everything you could want including a wonderful selection of dvds. Very tight getting in here and I was SO glad to be in a smaller rv. I cannot imagine how large rvs get in here and if you are bringing a larger rv or a toad you really need to speak with the management beforehand as the approach is tight. The family that runs the place were extremely kind and professional and made the stay great. The people here were all nice as were the rigs. Be aware that there are two different rv parks very close to one another on the map that offer quite different experiences. Make sure you know which one you are booking.

First, you're nowhere near Carmel and the drive into the park will make you think you've gotten lost on the backside of nowhere before you arrive. The river, no fault of theirs, is bone dry. But it is a lovely spot and they take great pains to make it an above average RV park. The site we were first given had a large sunken spot which made half of it unusable (if we were to get level). The warm friendliness of the front office became peevishness when I asked to move--imagine, expecting at least level ground for $135! Ash was a better spot on the end that few larger rigs would fit in. The hedges between campers are essential, as otherwise you'd have zero privacy. We passed a quiet enough night there and the little dog park area was grassy and nice, and the shower was very clean. Someone's little dog had $hit in the deep dry leaves that our power cord was pulled across, oh joy. For half the price, I'd feel we'd gotten fair value for our money, but there are few options if you land in this neck of the woods.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Nice accommodations and site. Loved our “plus size space that we shared with our brother & sister! The only negative was the road in and out of the RV park. Single lane and when we were driving in, a truck was headed out and had to back up and wait for our 2 Motorhomes to pass! Could be tricky if we met another RV on the road!

My husband and I had pretty high expectations for Carmel by the River RV park simply because of the nightly rate and previous positive reviews. We thought it would be a relaxing place to spend a couple nights to celebrate my birthday. The two nights we spent were nice, quiet and relaxing. However, we payed $300 for those 2 nights and I don’t think it was close to worth it. The amenities were everything you would expect at any reasonably priced RV park: full hook-ups, wifi, shower facilities, cable, and that was about it. No pool, or anything else out of the ordinary - so the $150 a night rate was a little confusing. We both used the showers, and while my husband had a pleasant experience, there were bugs in the women’s shower and the water did not get as hot as even our RV shower, which was disappointing. On the day of our departure, right before the check out time of noon, we noticed one of our tires was losing air and we had trouble filling it. The woman at the front desk seemed understanding, and even offered us use of their tire inflator to make the process easier. A few minutes later she walked over to our site and asked how the tire was doing and noticing that we still had a few things to pick up before our departure, lectured us on punctuality and that it was really important that we were out by noon, and that we should have been 100% packed up before we did anything with our tire. Meanwhile another RV across from us also left after noon with no lecture, or even a complaint from the owner. There were also over 15 other open sites, so it’s not like we were taking up space that was needed by others. Confused by the conflicting messages we received, we ended up rushing out of there with an under inflated tire and feeling pretty crappy. All in all, this is a mediocre RV Park in an overpriced location. If you’re under 30 you might get patronized by the owners who think they know better, and even if they dropped the price by half it would be way too high. Would not recommend.
