During a motorhome maintenance, I found myself stranded in this location. My preference when traveling from Texas to California is to halt anywhere but here. The area is dodgy and filled with factories.

The amenities you'd anticipate from a KOA were present, however, its proximity to the main road and lack of ambiance were quite noticeable.

The sites are paved and gravel. I had one of the deluxe sites but I think most of the sites are the same size just without patio furniture. Some great views of the distant mountains. As others have said, the surrounding area may be sketchy but I never felt unsafe. The park itself is clean and well maintained and all of the camp hosts I encountered whether outside or in the office were very friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms are private and unisex. The one thing to note, verify the cost of propane before filling. It likely is cheaper somewhere else although maybe not as convenient.

While the surrounding area of the KOA isn’t all that nice, the site was clean and taken care of. The spot was level and easy to pull into. We have stayed here twice in passing both times but felt comfortable and safe both times. It’s by a freeway so be prepared to hear the “ocean” lol. It’s not that bad.

Stayed one night. The KOA itself isn’t bad. Staff was nice and grounds kept well. Area of town is sketchy and it is right off the freeway with a giant billboard covering the park.

The park itself was up to standard for KOA. Level sites, hot showers, decent laundry, friendly staff. But the location was BAD! The camp is fully gated and shares a wall with the highway. The nonstop noise from cars does not however drown out the gun shots and sirens that go on all night. You can also see people walking around the fence that are clearly high. Not a good nights sleep.

I LOVED this KOA…the weather was tolerable. I’m sure when the weather is just right it’s even better. I don’t have anything bad to say about this place. It was safe secure and spacious for my 43ft rig and two vehicles

We were just here for one night but enjoyed our stay. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially with dinner suggestions. The campsite is clean, level and has good security. Like most urban RV parks, the sites are right next to each other but that's to be expected. My only complaint is the lack of signs to find the place, make sure to program your GPS cause there isn't a single sign. The park is right next to the express way so you can expect some constant background noise but it wasn't bad.

The campground was beautiful! Very well maintained. The park was very well enjoyed by our littles and they even had a jump pad for the kids. There was adequate space between our 5th wheel and the next rv. The bathrooms and showers were updated and very clean. And we appreciated they Koa staff being so friendly and picking up our trash the next morning. The campground is right next to the freeway but the freeway barrier blocks a lot of noise. We couldn’t hear it at all in our 5th wheel.

We arrived after hours. Check in was pretty smooth with the attendant. It’s a nice kept rv park. Nice views of the mountains. Verizon was about 80 down (I can’t remember up speed). ATT was about 3-5 down. We were able to pay extra for a late check out.

We were passing through Albuquerque and needed a place for the night. We arrived after dark but there was someone there to let us in and bring us to our site. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I really appreciated that the showers were hot and the bathroom was heated! There is a 24-hour hot tub as well. The place was very clean and well maintained. As others have mentioned, this is right next to the highway and the site I had was not blocked from the highway noise. It didn't bother me once I was in my camper for the night but it was definitely pretty loud when I was outside. I can see there were other sites that the noise may not have been as intense. But, it was good stopover and I would stay here again.

Even though it is up against the freeway, the noise isn’t bad. It’s very clean, exceptional staff and well organized. Easy to navigate inside the park and find from the interstate.

First time at one of these “Holiday Inn for RV’ers”, and we’re pretty happy. We didn’t get one of the sites with the nice big patio, but that’s something to remember for future visits. The check-in process was unbelievably quick and friendly. Susan behind the counter was AWESOME, all the paperwork for our pre-booked stay was already printed out, she took our KOA Rewards number and gave us the 10% discount, and we were out of the office and into the spot in minutes. Sure, it’s not the most scenic spot; the trees are just budding out right now, so there’s no shade from the sun. We have great neighbors — a couple from Utah in a fifth-wheel who are here to fight COVID (she’s a nurse). Lots of dogs, but not a peep out of them. They offered to help with any issues we have as we’re newbies to the RV life, and they have set up a small fenced area for their pup. This is our first big trip, and we’re sticking to big campgrounds with pull-throughs until we get our wings. The KOA isn’t a luxury hotel, but then again, it’s not costing us $150 a night.

After seeing the other reviews, I felt I should add in that this place is very well maintained and a great location if you are staying over in Albuquerque. I am adding a site map so you can request a spot further away from I40. We stayed in site 123 and the noise from the freeway was very distant and not at all a problem. We could not hear it at all inside the trailer. It is quite expensive at $78/nite with a KOA discount card, but otherwise, a good spot to stay if in the Albuquerque area.

We liked the curbside check in. The hostess was friendly, helpful, and showed us to our spot and the restroom locations. The park was clean and well maintained. We stayed in the 30 amp /water row and the spots had plenty of space in between. Now for the bad. This was, by far, the noisiest campground we have ever stayed in. The highway noise was relentless and unbearable. It could not be ignored. Seriously. It seemed as if we were parked in the median of I-40 which was next door.

There’s obviously a reason KOA doesn’t give you your site number ahead of time. I paid for a premium site only to be right up against the highway. As you can imagine, the highway never grew quiet. The sites are sandwiched in between the “dog” friendly sites with small pens so that you can enjoy your neighbor’s barking dogs. I think we will stick to state parks.
