Mafeking
Very attractive forested valley camping near Jimmy Creek and bubbling Wannon River. Semi-dispersed sites around a circuit road. Some sites are large, others best suit tent camping, all are level with short grass. Good shade from tall Southern Blue Gum and wattles. Bush shower Rated 4.
Big Desert
Remote campground in Big Dessert Wilderness Park with drop toilets, picnic tables and fire pits. The campground is mostly sand/dirt and has a little shade from the small trees throughout. It is surrounded by low mallee scrub, and has a great bush feel to it.
Tullibigeal

A beautiful, peaceful sub-alpine camp overlooking a small, marshy snow plain (spring wildflowers), backed by forested ridge tops. Set in a forest reserve at 1,080m. Rated 4. 3/5. Magpies, rosellas, wombats and wallabies are common.
Oatlands
Free, overnight stopover on the edge of Lake Dulverton. The grassy banks of the lake make a lovely campsite, and there are some good level sites for caravans, and plenty of grass for tents. There is no shade, or shelter as the banks in the camping area have no trees.
Inneston
With magnificent view of this rugged coastline, this campsite is near the entrance to Innes National Park. There is easy access to the beach, and not being as poplar as some of the other campgrounds in this park, it offers a bit more peace and quiet.
Granya
A pleasant picnic/camping area in a small valley on the edge of the Mount Granya State Park. Features a level, gravelled car park and large level mown lawn (an old dairy site). There is very little shade, although backed by open, dry sclerophyll Red Stringybark and Long-leaved Box forest.
Pleasant dispersed bush camping on the high banks of the Murray River surrounded by flood plain State Forest. Dense River Red Gum saplings with grasses, billabongs, creeks and swamps. Prolific bird life. No beaches. Rate 4. 3/5AccessThis site is accessable by caravans in good weather.
Large open and level overnight rest area suitable for caravans. There are flushing toiles and rubbish bins provided. Tank water is not suitable for drinking. There is a 72 hour maximum stay and dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Generators permitted during daylight hours.
Basic, level and free campground with no facilities. No defined sites, just a large level area with some shade. Sites to suit caravans or tent based camping. There are no toilets or water, however rubbish bins are provided. Suitable for a free over-nighter.
Rainbow
Western Beach is the main campground in Lake Albacutya Regional Park. Located above the Lake shoreline in open Black Box woodland with no understory, backed by cypress pine, buloke, mallee and heathland. Thousands of trees have been planted to save eroding dunes.
Karnak
Beautiful little free camping area on the edge of the water in Lake Ratzcastle Lake Reserve. This is a seasonal lake so relies on recent rain to fill. The water attracts numerous birds and wildlife which make this a great spot to sit, relax and get the camera out.

Close quarters camping, a short walk from the beach, with hot showers. This is a actually quite an expensive place to camp, at $30 per head, but the hot showers make up for it. There is a camp kitchen, and barbecue as well as individual fire pits for each campsite.
