Cape Le Grand
Eildon
A reasonably large, level cleared circuit, surrounded by Peppermint forest with tea-tree understory above the rushing Taponga River. Short grass, well shaded. A pleasant camp, not as popular as other Lower Big River sites, probably as it is not on the Big River. Rated 4.
Gundaroo

Louth Bay

A pleasant old sawmill clearing (partially revegetated) sheltered in a forested valley near the bubbling Little River. There are groups of scattered sites, semi-secluded by bush and distance, designed mainly for car/tent camping, however small caravans and campervans will fit.
Wensleydale
A ridge top fenced paddock, very open (most sites without shade), gently sloping with bumpy tussock grass and some holes. A poor, scruffy camp. Potentially hot and dusty in summer. Dam water. There are caravan only sites and a grassed area for tent based camping.
Corringle
Located by the eastern mouth of the Snowy River (opposite Marlo) behind large sand dunes (which provide good wind protection). 24 Designated sites on level grassed sand (gravelled tracks) are well shaded by large Tea-tree and banksia.
Douglas River

A very quiet forested camp near a lovely beach. Situated in tall forest 500m from a small cove and behind a rocky, heath covered headland. Specific sites are reasonably separated by bush. Good shade from tall Silvertop Ash and Red bloodwood with a thin understory of melaleuca and scrub.

Cobungra
A pleasant, small camping area on the nose of a ridge above the picnic area and willow lined Victoria River (small). Set in open woodland of stunted gums over green mown grass and surrounded by rolling open farmland. Facilities (5 BBQs & tables, pit toilet) good.
Shell Cove
Close quarters camping, a short walk from the beach, with hot showers. This is a actually quite an expensive place to camp, at $30 per head, but the hot showers make up for it. There is a camp kitchen, and barbecue as well as individual fire pits for each campsite.

Torbay
Basic camping on the Torbay Inlet, a short walk / boat trip to the ocean. If you have a 4wd (or don't mind a short walk), you can follow the track alongside the inlet through to the beach, which offers pretty good fishing. Some nice sized bream can be had in the estuary too.
