Nice campground with a ton of amenities (though several not open until Memorial Day weekend including the.barrel train, snack bar, and pool). Friendly staff and lots of seasonal campers, who were also nice. The office offered to let me use a 50A-30A adapter at no charge as the site it was on only had 15A & 50A service but my TT is a 30A hookup. Some of the facilities were aged but they’ve recently upgraded others ... the playground featured both older equipment and a newer play structure. WiFi was hit-and-miss as far as usable service. Fishing pond was great for the kids, though we didn’t catch anything. We enjoyed it enough to book for another weekend later this summer when everything is open.

Nice campground but full of seasonal campers who are nice but know theybrun the place. Clean bathrooms could use an upgrade to them, but the water is nice and hot. White pines could use another bathhouse though, no bathrooms close to anything that is happening it’s a walk to any of them. Lots of stuff for the kids but again it only takes a few minutes with a leaf blower to clean up the mini golf or a minute or two to clean the horseshoe pits. Lastly if you charge for almost everything or have friendly games for small cash pots maybe just maybe put in a small ATM machine. WiFi is there but not there. All in all we did love the place and would definitely camp here again.

Whispering Pines is located in the quaint hamlet of Hope Valley. In this rural part of RI, folks use Post Office designations over town names. Such is the case here. The campground hosts mainly RVs with some tents scattered in and a few cabins. It host its own catch-and-release fishing pond, swimming pool and good hot showers. The sites are spacious with large fire rings and a blend of sun and shade. There are plenty of families and kids riding bikes throughout the facility. The WiFi can be a tad slower, but its consistent. The camp administrators are friendly and helpful. Didn't try the food. For full-time travelers, they have huge extended stay Spring and Fall rates. THE LOCAL SKINNY: Hope Valley has a decades-running Bluegrass Sunday at the Wood River Inn. The food is middle of the road. Up the street, Billy Hills has an outdoor bar and live music on weekends. It's a real locals scene. Beach Pond and Arcadia Park are nearby. You can hike and swim at beach pond. Email me for the real insider secrets to Beach Pond. Misquamicut State beach is worth a jaunt to the coast. Great beach, great facility, RV parking but not overnight. FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS Breakfast- Middle of Nowhere Diner (Steak and Eggs!) Lunch - Billy Hills BBQ or Burgers Dinner - Vetrano's in Westerly (anything Italian) Dessert - Ice Cream or Sherbet at Next to Nowhere Creamery. Or, Homemade Pies at Ma and Pa's.
