New York, the United States

Sunsets are magical over Lake Erie, only 300 yards from the campground. Pull into this KOA and walk right into the heart of grape country. Enjoy the pine and oak-covered trails of Ottaway Park. Sunsets are magical over Lake Erie, only 300 yards from the campground. A shale-bottom creek, fun for hiking, flows through KOA. Hook bass and perch from the pond, then let them go. (For the real keepers, get on an Erie charter or fish off the large pier near a boat launch.) This KOA boasts two pools, a game room and an award-winning playground. Fun summer weekends include water balloon tosses, Big Foot and sack races, treasure hunts and more. For a spectacular view of Lake Erie, vineyards and a hint of Canada, go 5 miles to Luensman Overview Park. Visit antique shops, wineries and Erie's Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park or go geocaching. Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 85 feet. Your hosts: the Hanes family.

We stayed here to go to Niagara Falls. It's a bit far for that, so, I recommend finding something closer. The most noticeable thing about the park, is that the air was filled with the smell of grapes! There is a turn out area for your dog, but, I walked mine around the park and alongside the vineyard. It was not crowded, the management was very nice, and it was an easy in and out for us.

not a KOA / RV park guy, but this was a nice spot for a night along the way. nice park across the street & you can easily poke around in there for 30 min or so. really close to I-90 but it's mostly a constant hum. food truck on-site is nice to have & they charge directly to your card & deliver to the campsite. goid wings. Larrys Cantina in town a few minutes away had some great looking wings but next time.

Escorted to our site. We stayed here 3 days and it was awesome! We used the laundry room and the pool both were very clean. We had a spacious pull thru site. The staff and people we met were very friendly. The food truck had delicious fried clam strips and buffalo wings.

First attempt at camping with used class a motorhome. Has sites with water, electric, sewer hook ups. Some sites are water/electric only. They also have no hookup sites. -Bathrooms are very clean. -Staff pleasant and helpful. -Food truck and general store on site. -Even though close to thruway road noise isn't bad. -town park across the street which is right on lake Erie.

The campground was pretty with mature trees & buddy sites. Bath house was great! There is a park directly across the road on Lake Erie. Only drawback was that the pool was small & on the main road. Campground was very accommodating when there was confusion with the reservations made 5 months ago. Things to do close to here - Johnson Winery (there’s a whole wine trail!) - Luensman Overview Park (amazing view!) - beaches were nice & quiet.. wasn’t like Lake Michigan beach, but still space to relax in beach chairs..

This small KOA was adequate for our one-night stay purposes. The facilities are modest and occupancy was around 20% midweek but appeared to be well maintained with central facilities, small camp store, and pool. Sites are relatively level, with plenty of water pressure, and most are pull-throughs. If occupancy was high, spacing could be tight with limited room between sites. The reflected rate was for full hook-ups. Across NY-5 (slow 2 lane byway), there is a small town park with access to Lake Erie. Note that there is evident road noise from I-90 but it isn't overwhelming or distracting unless your expectation is for complete silence and solitude of deep forest. We would stay again, especially if passing through the area; however, there is a smaller (less commercially branded atleast) Blue Water Campground less than 1/2 mile East that we'd likely try again first to save cost plus its directly on the lake. In nearby Westfield, NY, check out CJ's Pizza or plan ahead and order a homemade pie for pickup the next day at Portage Pie. Imagine your grandma's homemade pie recipe - so go ahead and order yourselves two.
