Western Beach Campground

Western Beach is the main campground in Lake Albacutya Regional Park.
Located above the Lake shoreline in open Black Box woodland with no understory, backed by cypress pine, buloke, mallee and heathland. Thousands of trees have been planted to save eroding dunes. This camp ground has the advantage of sealed access and a considerable depth of vegetation but can be popular and potentially crowded. Sites are well grassed. 10+ fireplaces and tables scattered over a considerable area. Pit toilets, tank water, showers.Boat ramp. Rated 3.8/5

This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.

Getting there
Access from Hopetoun [B200]: South-west 39k on the Hopetown-Rainbow Rd [C277], right (north) then west 6k on the Albacutya Rd, right [north-west] 3k on the Western Beach Rd.
