Urban Glamping

81 Mckenzie Street
3936, St Lucia
KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

Urban Glamping is a property for self catering in St Lucia for tourists visiting the Elephant Coast region.

About Urban Glamping
Urban Glamping is situated on the main road of St Lucia, the gateway to the Isimangaliso Wetland Park (a UNESCO world heritage site). This luxury tented lodge is not what you would expect to find in the middle of a populated town - guests say that it feels like they are actually in the middle of a forest! The lodge comprises 12 luxury en-suite tents, each with its own deck and seating area. In the middle of the large wooden deck furnished with plenty of pool loungers and umbrellas we boast a lovely pool. Each tent sleeps a total of four persons (maximum of three adults) and has an en-suite bathroom, prep bowl and fridge. This self catering tented lodge offers a fully equipped outdoor kitchen where our valued guests can prepare their meals. We also have a lovely BBQ area - after all this is South Africa! A unique feature of this lodge is our fire pit which makes for a great social venue. For the avid reader we have created the perfect outdoor reading corner. Urban Glamping offers camping on a luxury level! Urban Glamping is surrounded by restaurants and we are within walking distance of shops and the estuary. Our reception / office area is also a booking office for all activities offered in the area and we also conduct daily safaris to Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park and Cape Vidal. Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park is a stone's throw away. This park, the oldest proclaimed park in Africa, is home to the Big Five. St Lucia is also known for its high concentration of hippo and crocodile. Cape Vidal is home to an awesome beach with snorkeling opportunities.

My nephew and his wife were visiting us from Dubai and so thought great to visit St. Lucia. They were amazed and so were we (the 'no noise' policy was adhered to), the staff are friendly and helpful, suggesting we visit Dukuduku and boy did we see so many animals there. The tents were cool at night, very spacious, super clean. Highly recommend a stay with a difference. Will be back again.
