Attending Hermitfest, scattered camping, no designated sites. Larger rigs can get into the sites nearer the road. Best suited for small campers or tents. The area also is on a FS route of a jeep trail, expect off-roaders passing thru. No water, no services, vault toilet.

We've stayed at this campground several times and have always found it to be very enjoyable. The campsites are spacious with large flat sand areas for tents and adequate parking for most camping trailers and rv's. The sites have a fire ring, a cooking grill and a metal stand for camp stoves as well as bear boxes. The camp host last year was very nice and attended to the needs of all. The restrooms are clean and as odor free as a vault toilet can be.

We only stayed here one night, but found it to be very centrally located for exploring the Carson Pass/Hope Valley area; it is also relatively close to South Lake Tahoe (roughly a 20 min drive).
