Our journey across the western region of Texas led us to an overnight stop at this campground, located half a mile south of I-10 on Main Street, nestled on the southern bank of the North Llano river. The river's flow is visible from the tent sites at the rear of the park. The campground is subject to minor noise from Main Street, but the interstate's noise is unnoticeable. The roads and camping pads are a mixture of hard dirt and gravel. Every site features grassy areas on both sides of the pad, and most are equipped with a picnic table and at least one tree offering shade. Our site, number 33, had a tree devoid of leaves, but we enjoyed the largest passenger-side yard in the park, complete with a pergola-covered patio, chairs, a picnic table, a BBQ grill, and two fire pits. We had to level our site a bit, but it wasn't a significant issue thanks to a board under one side of the tires and our leveling jacks. The park offered generous spacing between sites, particularly at our end of the park. The grassy areas and open spaces at the campground's periphery offered ample space for dog-walking, with several dog stations scattered throughout the park. There was a fenced-in dog park, but it was relatively small and bordered by 3-foot livestock fencing panels, which larger dogs could potentially leap over. The park's large tree was adorned with holiday lights, and a solar-powered security light was attached to the tree, presumably for after-dark illumination. Similar solar lights were positioned above site numbers and other small park signs, a thoughtful touch considering the park's limited overhead lighting, which was confined to the office building area. The rest of the park, especially the last two rows, was quite dark. Cell service was decent, with my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna providing 18Mbps download and 7Mbps upload speeds, allowing for smooth video streaming. A speed test on my

George and Carolyn are the new management and boy do they make you feel welcomed! George met us at the front and escorted us to our site, and his wife Carolyn was extremely accommodating as well. Bathroom and showers were clean, laundry facilities work great. We will definitely return!

Thanks to one of the previous reviews we knew ahead of time that the name of the campground had been changed to 10-83. We found it very easily and they had a great system to get checked in after hours. The lot was nice and level and we didn't have to unhook from our tow vehicle for one night. They have a little dog park which was good for our dog to romp off-leash for a little while. We walked down to Lum's BBQ which is only about 3 tenths of a mile away. Sadly, they were out of meat. Seriously. Out. My advice would be to call ahead if you want to walk down there. Overall, I really liked this park. I wish we had more time to go into town. I'd love to return to Junction, TX but doubt that we will ever be back this way with the camper. It looks to be a really cool little town online.

We stayed here 1 night. Drove past it, not knowing the name changed to 10/83 RV Park. We called and were able to be in the site within a few minutes. Staff was very friendly. The grounds are well kept. Site is level gravel. Picnic table and fire pit available. Bathrooms are spotless. Very quiet area. Would stay again no problem.

The reviews for this commercial campground are actually referencing South Llano River Stare Park which is several miles further south. The map, location and phone number lead you here, not to the park. It is on the river, Good Sam rate is $36. We stayed at junction city park.

We have not stayed here before and we found the park to be very nice and thought our site (#8) was great. It had an asphalt pad that was fairly level with a slope towards the rear. Electric and water worked fine. There was a lot of open space around our site. We don't have kids camping with us but this would have been a good site for kids to play and run around. Armadillos came through in the evening both nights we were there. This is also a Dark Sky campground and the stars were amazing to see. There were a lot of campers with tubes for floating down the river and you can rent tubes at the park headquarters. We rented kayaks from Peddler's Porch in Junction. First time we've done that. It seemed reasonable, $35 per kayak for the whole day but they took cash only. We would definitely go back to this park again.

Easy access and very friendly folks. Sites are long and wide and generally very level. Best of all, you can walk to one of the best bbq restaurants in Texas. It’s called Lum’s. The brisket is the best I have ever had.

This park was extremely swampy and our whole rig got caked in mud from just one night here. There is nothing nearby on this long stretch of highway, so I guess that’s why they charge so much. I wouldn’t even stop here over night again.
