A fantastic campsite manager, available kayak hire, firewood for sale on location at $8, and a lovely beach for swimming and motorboat entry. Insect presence was quite intense during the Memorial Day weekend, so a tent with a mosquito net was a much-needed sanctuary. Plot #4 was perfect for a caravan and three tents. Would definitely revisit!

Really enjoyed our stay. Full power at our site and plenty of vault toilets throughout the park. Didn’t see where anyone would have to walk more than three sites away to get to a toilet. Also, they were some the cleanest/nicest vault toilets. Sites were quiet and usually had a tree layer in between each site. Mosquitos are the size of large horses. Bring spray. Stars are incredible if you get a clear night. Camp host was delightful. Firewood can be bought on site for $7 cash. Network (AT&T) was hit and miss (we had to fire up our network booster).

This is a great park if you grab the right site. Almost all the sites appeared to have decent tent pads, fire pits and tables. Unfortunately not all of them are great for RVs. We spent our first night in site 22. It offered a view of the river filtered by trees but also a had the neighboring site between us and the water. It was also very narrow due to the hillside. Had we been tent camping, the pad father back in the site would have been excellent. On the second night we moved to a site away from the water but far more private. Site #2

Deep, gravel site. Large tent pad behind us. Surrounded by many trees. Good electric service. Power outlet in excellent condition. Filled up water tank in parking lot for pavillion. Nearest dump station in Ely at Chamber of Commerce. Easy to get to. Camp host was very nice and attentive to campers needs.

Remote from town about 10 miles just off Hwy #2 on the East side of the South Kawishi River. Access roads and sites are gravel, most sites take some leveling effort. Little to no water views due to tree foliage. A camper should be pre warned about summer insects, plentty of trees and heavy brush between sites. A good place to be away from summer tourist crowds.
