Camped in a 40 Ft DP. We are camping here due to friends in Mattoon. Site had 50amp service. water within 60ft. Back to front leveling - 3inch up on back, front down. Site was gravel, branches were required to be trimmed due to our height. Park Ranger stated ok to trim. Verify sites aer what you want, as some are FHU. Common dump. 4 Showers near our location. Site Quality is due to Satellite Access is not on all the sites. Please remember this is a Camping destination, meaning locals come here and not people traveling thru. Check in 5pm

This is a great campground. I would here again. Verizon service was strong enough to stream video.

Stayed 2 nights at this lovely, quiet, well kept park. Very woodsy, lots of shade, and a partial view of the lake. Full hookups, including sewer. There are variations of hookups throughout the park and rates will reflect that. $12 w/senior discount. T-Mobile coverage between 1 and 2 bars.

We really enjoy this campground. It’s very well kept and big rig friendly. It has a nice mix of FHU and water/electric sites, a mix of which can be reserved or walk-in. Lake Shelbyville is a nice lake for anglers and pleasure boater. Sullivan is a nearby town that offers a good mix of restaurants, grocery and hardware stores. We have a lot of friends in the area so we always enjoy our stays here. But even without the local connection Bo Wood is a nice place to stay for awhile.

We are staying a week this time, last stay only 4 days. The area 3 we favor is quiet, very shady and peaceful woods. All the sites are pretty level and clean, well kept. We never use the showers or bath facilities, but they look nice. We have children in the area so we will stay again. Sullivan is 3 miles away and is quaint and fun.

This campground is mostly for seasonal campers (those who stay permanently). There are a number of areas for non-seasonal campers, however. The non-seasonal area was completely shaded, but because of this there was no grass on any of the sites. On a hot, dry summer day it is very dusty. The shower houses were clean, but poorly ventilated. If you were doing something else during the day (boating on the lake, hanging out at one of the beaches, etc.) this would not be too bad. It was, however, VERY noisy all 3 nights we stayed. The noise didn't abate until after midnight. If you're a night owl or a partier, this would be good for you. If you want a good night's sleep or some peace and quiet--go elsewhere!
