The BLM territory we visited was visually stunning and breathtaking. Despite the strong winds, the landscape was magnificent. We camped during a bustling spring break period, but the expanse of the place allowed for a peaceful and quiet experience. It's definitely worth it to spare some time to check out the heritage ranch. Facilities like water supply and restrooms are available at this historic location. We took pleasure in exploring the region on foot and by bike, and appreciated the pastoral ambiance created by the grazing livestock. This is an excellent halt just below Tucson.

Other reviewers cover this place well. We had no trouble with roads or finding a spot even though it was the weekend. With cell phone amplifier got 3 bars of Verizon.

Hate putting flags on this area, having it mostly to myself. Does get windy and hot, but that goes with the territory. I did dispersing camping, short distance from the designated camp area, no one seem to mind lucky me. My only big concern, is the tall dry grass catching fire. I found a few used open fire pits that made me wonder about late at night having the need to run. So I choose my campsite away from tall grass as much as possible with a quick get away in mind. No phone service, but could text ever so often. no issues here. glad to get away from all of it.

So, I have a wee little sonic. Not exactly a recreational vehicle. My advice is that if you have a similar car stay away from these spots if it is gonna rain. I really thought I'd be ok but it rained for 14 hours straight and my car could not get traction. I have good tires, the mud was just tricky. Besides that it was wonderful. It was beautiful. I took a nap in my car under a beautiful blue sky surrounded by grasses. I had a small fire. No stars due to the overcast but it was quiet. Some of the best sleep I have ever had. An occasional truck but that's it. Bring a shovel. You'll have to poop in a hole if you dont have an RV. Big thanks to Jerry, who unstuck me! You're my hero!
