The majority, roughly 90%, of the locations are occupied by permanent residents. Only a handful of "occasional adventurers," as one long-term resident referred to us, occupy the spaces. The campground's shop was amply supplied and staffed with amicable young individuals.

I fully endorse this campground and this region of PA/NJ. It is a family friendly place with a pool, playground and lots of seasonal residents and their kids playing all over the grounds. The camping loops are all very cozy: most sites are separated by a thin row of trees. I recommend the site we had (R16), as it was very easy to back into due to its location on bend of the road. The roads are narrow, we are a pretty big rig in total length but we made it no problem. Each site is gravel paved and has a picnic table and fire ring. We had 50 amps, high pressure water and a cable hook up. The staff was very nice and accommodating. There is a camp store, game room and the weekend we were there they had a full schedule of activities if we were interested. We requested a late checkout for $10 extra. A note on access: if you're coming from NJ, don't take the Frenchtown bridge, it is doable, but very narrow. Best not to chance it. Go north up the river a little to Milford or find an alternative route. The roads to the campground are hilly and twisty. I'm sorry we didn't take photos, it was a busy weekend, but I still have the campground map.

We needed a place to spend a night while traveling to New England and Ringing Rocks served that purpose. Reservations were efficient and easy. We arrived after 5 PM but had called ahead so our packet with information was waiting for us at the office door. Sites are a bit close together with only a few sparse trees in between but since it was still early in the season we had no immediate neighbors. Hookups were easy and the water and shore power were fine. Walking around the campground revealed some longterm campers and some of them need to spruce up their rigs. I would predict that the surroundings would be more attractive as the season moves forward. The bath rooms were clean and well cared for and it appears that the pool would be a great place for a hot summer's day. Checkout the following morning was equally efficient but the camp store could use some additional supplies, several boxes had empty contents.
