This green haven is truly a gem nestled amidst the urban jungle of San Diego. Often referred to as the best hidden treasure of the area, the description is far from being overstated. The park is cleverly concealed behind a lush forest, alongside a tranquil stream and rolling hills, providing an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet still within easy reach of all the city's conveniences. It's in close proximity to all that San Diego has to offer. The park is meticulously maintained and the maintenance crew is not only friendly but diligent in their daily upkeep. The park's management team sets a high bar for hospitality with their warm, flexible, and communicative approach. Having visited numerous campgrounds and RV parks nationwide, I can confidently say that the hospitality at Rancho Los Coches is unparalleled. The sense of welcome and care I received here was second to none. The park also boasts strong Verizon and AT&T connectivity, which was perfect for my remote work on Zoom. I stayed here with multiple vehicles (a 26ft class c and a 16ft travel trailer with a Jeep Cherokee) and got to experience spots 8, 9, and 60, all of which were fairly level and equipped with full hookups. Spots 8 and 9 are conveniently located at the heart of the park, providing easy access to all amenities without being disturbed by excessive park "traffic". I was also able to have packages delivered directly to my site from Amazon, FedEx, and UPS. The park features excellent laundry facilities with numerous machines, a pleasant pool, and several charming outdoor spots for leisurely walks or picnics by the stream. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit to this park, it's truly a blessing.

We stayed at Rancho Los Coches for 3 nights and 4 days, Friday-Monday. This campground was quiet and our campsite was mostly level. There was a concrete pad/patio and a picnic table as well as full hookups. They provided an information packet that included a warning about ants in the campground, so we were careful not to leave any food that might attract them. We did not end up having any problems with ants or insects of any kind.

They provided an information packet that included a warning about ants in the campground, so we were careful not to leave any food that might attract them. We did not end up having any problems with ants or insects of any kind. All of the facilities were clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and seemed happy to be working there. There are quite a few permanent residents, and their campsites were a little cluttered, but mostly with plants and decorations, not a lot of junk like some other places have. Wifi was usable for basic internet browsing and social media. We used the free wifi, but they have an upgraded wifi package for a few dollars a day. We were gettting 2 bars LTE on Verizon at our campsite, but the higher elevation of some of the other campsites may have better reception.
