We are rather new to camping but we enjoyed the quiet friendly atmosphere, a lot of wildlife and on a pond. One night we had a Woodstork just hanging out with us at our site. The pool was great and was heated, the hot tub wa also in nice working condition. They really try to have social time for people to mingle. Pool parties with DJ or band, cooking lessons, pot lucks and cooking contests, music from bands, Breakfast every Friday for $4.00. They are very dog friendly. The campers are very close but everyone was pleasant and all dogs were well behaved. We used it as a base to go and explore the area of Fort Myers which had a lot oof shopping and an interesting museum. It consists of the Winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. They were next door neighbors. The only real Meagan I’ve with our site is that it did not have a pad. But most sites do have a pad.

As is normal for southern FL during winter months (peak season), due to popularity and folks/snowbirds willing to pay, they get away with charging exorbitant prices. This is a combination KOA/Encore-Thousand Trails park. They do have facilities with activities such as club house, pool (a little murky), hot tub, playground, tennis court, dog run, horseshoes, shuffleboard, laundry, and library. The sites are painfully close, stacked up like cord wood. The pool area has insufficient lounge chairs for the number of users it gets so people will pile their stuff on them early on and leave only to return hours later to actually use them while others have lost the opportunity to use them. Garbage dumpsters are at the front of the park, but they do garbage pickup from the front of your site, albeit only on certain days. This leads to many lazy neighbors who put bags of garbage out even on non-pickup days. With sites so close, you can picture the lovely view you get from your rig. It is an awful long way out from "civilization" (AKA: normal shopping) in Ft. Myers & Cape Coral. There is not much to see/do/enjoy here on Pine Island, especially no beach area. We will not waste our time or money to return.
