Very nice scenery with a great an helpful staff. They helped me with a AAA discount. Very quiet. Hard place to find due to sign being covered up.

Unfortunately No Gas Golf Carts Allowed, There’s Lots Of Activities For Kids And A Trailhead Attached To The Back Side Of The Property. There’s a gorgeous view of the lake with hills behind from the main building,

I called ahead of time, made a reservation, told them how many people/tents we had, she said okay I think site 41 will be good, it is a 20 by 50 site. We get there, find our site, with the number clearly visible. We unpack, setup, they come by check us in, show us where to park, where the best place for tents are... Great for 3 days. Wednesday evening a family pulls up says we are on their site. OK. Park attendant pulls up says we have to move? Okay, we can move to the site next door, which they say is where we supposed to be, even though they have been by every day and waved. It is clearly not a 20 x 50, more like 20 x 20, and power and water to be shared. No way we fit all of tents, gear, people, grr. We leave, they return our money for the rest of the week and are even so nice as to give us back for that night, even though it is after check out, so gracious of them. Grrr. Oh, BTW, on the way out of office, please hurry and get our stuff off-site. Really? Drive to fast food to gather thoughts, 10 at night, everything is wet. Everything is dirty. We end up booking a hotel in Cherokee at 5x the cost, get in at 11, in bed by a lil after midnight. I send this to them, telling them I was going post it, and they laugh at me.

This is an absolutely beautiful campground and you will never run out of things to do. We experienced some of the best food we've ever had in the area (Farm Burger, Asheville Pizza) and hiked to amazing waterfalls. We let the kiddo play and ride his bike around the whole campground all day without worry. All the parents and kids we met on our extended stay were just good people. We all had the time of our lives!

This place rocks! It is the best campground in the upstate. It has everything for the kids and you won’t hurt for anything to do. The Christian atmosphere is also great. Family friendly and great staff too. This is our “go to” campground. We prefer the sites up in the woods rather than down behind the zip lines, but they are all fine sites. Haven’t caught much in the ponds, but haven’t tried real hard either..... I can’t say enough good about this place! Negatives.... the WiFi is not strong everywhere.... but if you are coming here to surf the net.... you are missing everything else!

The site we had, #15, was an end site, on a slight hill, with an excellent view of the “large” lake (pond). Good size for pull through, with nice shade trees on both sides. We were pulling a motorcycle trailer, and had a great site in that respect. Easy to unload and immediate access to paved road. The office staff was very nice and the check-in office/store was well stocked if you forget something. Also had free movies if you want, canoes, rowboats, free...first come...also a big field for kids with a place to play soccer and volleyball and other activities including a large room below office with tv, sofa, pool table, ping pong and several other table top activities. clean bathrooms, and nice size laundry room; also very clean. They sell earthworms for fishing. Negative: the front of our site was dirt, rocks and red clay. Needs gravel put down to keep dust, or mud (when wet/rainy). Also, the sewer site was on an upslope so sewer line would not easily drain even with the supports under the hose. Our site was where everyone passed when entering, so our two small dogs had plenty to bark at!! Also lots of walkers and kids on bikes. Staff dogs occasionally run loose, but pretty well controlled by staff. Would stay here again if they put gravel, pea-gravel or pave the sites
