As soon as we checked in and saw the lengthy release of liability provision we were concerned. Site 17 actually ticked all of the “no liability for damages due to” clause. Huge boulder ✔️ Huge above-ground tree roots ✔️ rotten apples ✔️ low damaging branches ✔️ mud rather than nice gravel ✔️ pits and bumps making leveling impossible ✔️. Some of the other sites looked better but ours didn’t even have a gravel road leading to it. Showers were newly remodeled and nice but NO FLUSH TOILETS. Seriously, old fashioned out house seat with no actual toilet. Sparse gravel on roads, weedy and unkempt. Such an opportunity for improvement if the owners decided to up their game.

Liked staying here as a base to visit the local area and have electric hookups for those chilly Maine days. The sites were fairly level and easy to get into with good separation between sites. We have 30 foot travel trailer but there were a few big rigs here when we stayed. Moosehead Lake area is great for hiking, fishing, hunting and pretty much any water activity. The owners were very pleasant and accommodating. The only downside is that the bathrooms are pit toilets, if that bothers you, but they are very clean. Overall would return even though it is a little pricey.
