2615 Park Marina Drive

Marina RV Park is on the beautiful Sacramento River with no freeway noise. Hot showers. Shopping, aqua golf, movie theater and restaurants within walking. 15 minute drive to Shasta and Whiskeytown Lakes.
Let's start with the positive aspects. The park is conveniently located on the riverbank and is approximately a mile away from the Sundial bridge recreational area. It also provides relatively easy access to I-5. On the downside, the park is heavily populated by permanent residents who tend to leave trash around their RVs. This seems to be the primary demographic here, which is understandable given the steady revenue they provide. However, this leaves very few spaces for temporary visitors. The park is essentially a large asphalt parking area with spots demarcated by spray paint, all of which are back-in. The mornings are quite noisy due to locals leaving for work in their noisy vehicles. During our two-night stay, we were disturbed by a garbage truck at 7:15 one morning and a leaf blower at 7:30 the next. Another issue was the positioning of the utility connections, which were located at the far end of the site. This wasn't a problem for power/water, but the sewer connection would have necessitated three hoses for my RV, so we decided not to dump here. One final note of caution - this park only accepts cash payments.

Stayed a single night in transit along I-5. Location reasonably convenient even as the park itself is literally a tightly packed parking lot. Getting into the spot was tricky enough. Park isn’t particularly well maintained nor is the price a bargain. The real kicker though is the ant infestation we received in a single eighteen or so hour stay. Another guest warned us as they had the same experience but after over a year and a half on the road full time, this one night stop has led to serious ant issues in our rig.

https://marinarvparkredding.com/ is their new website, the one listed on Campendium (http://www.marinarvpark.com/) is incorrect. Some reviews said this place was run down - I disagree. Anyways, I called ahead and there were couple spots open. Good Sam gives a $5 discount from $40 to $35 / night (tax included). Full hookup. Pool was closed for repairs. WiFi works, 8 mb down, 2 mb up, 75 ms latency. 2 bars of LTE on Sprint and Mint. The location was quiet, minimal highway noises. Only one entrance/exit so it's very quiet. Woke up in the morning hearing lots of birds. Surrounded by the Sacramento River on 3 sides. It's great.

Stayed in May 2021 after getting my second shot as I wanted some luxury during my recovery. Really lovely place right on the water, you can kayak and swim. There is also a pool which was excellent. Laundry facilities are great. Bathrooms are wonderful and spotless, nice warm shower. Neighbors were friendly and helped me fix my shifting batteries! Had a great stay. Just next to the park is Urban Retreat Day Spa where I had a really excellent massage, recommended.

Redding downtown is kind of sleepy in certain ways, while at other times there were bands playing at various venues. Some reasonably good restaurants and breweries. Biking is great from this location as well. The park itself is nice enough and well located. I'd visit Redding again if the opportunity came up. Surprisingly the LTE bandwidth on any service was rather limited even with the booster, but the connection was solid. I was able to stream and do video conferencing with only rare voiping. I think it's because it's kind of down in the river area with bluffs around it, but it could be a lack of cell towers.

Very quiet place and close to cycling road leading to Sundial bridge and grocery. We spent a week and enjoyed the very good weather in beginning October 2019.

Good for an overnight or week stay if you have to make repairs. I was in Redding getting my transmission rebuilt at NorCal. It's a parking lot. For whatever reason, I didn't get a waterfront view even though there were plenty of open spots the entire time I was there. Maybe request for one? The full timers are reasonably friendly and the bathrooms are clean. Hot showers. If you're new to the area, Redding has a rampant homeless population. I felt pretty safe at this park. I drove by others and was not impressed. This park is also about a hop and a skip away from the Redding Dog Park.

We don't like RV parks, but this one did it's job. Right off the Highway, full hook-up, access to a dog-friendly beach (so hard to find in CA!), and spots that, although small, are nicely separated from each other. Worth it for a quick clean-out. Late arrival system is AWESOME. Noise level was due to the close highway.
