Love Lions Alive Sanctuary

Appin Farm
9880, Swinburne
Gauteng, South Africa

Love Lions Alive Sanctuary is a highly recommended property for self catering in Swinburne for tourists visiting the Thabo Mofutsanyana region.

About Love Lions Alive Sanctuary
Love Lions Alive Sanctuary offers a unique guest experience for nature lovers in Andi Rive's private camp. Andi and her team live in tents alongside three lions in a shady grove situated on the side of a rocky mountain. Three structured tents are able to accommodate two adults each. All tents are carpeted and beds have warm blankets and duvets. Depending on which tent you are in, the bathroom is located between 5 and 30m away in a rock side setting. There is a tented self catering kitchen. Lighting is solar powered and guests are advised to bring a torch for additional light. The overnight experience includes a braai / BBQ and light sundowner drinks. Please see the individual tent descriptions with photographs below, to assist you with your choice. Join the team for sundowners on a boulder overlooking the Eastern Free State's beautiful valleys and mountains followed by a braai around their campfire. Waking up to the sound of lions roaring and birds chirping while enjoying the fresh air is a great experience. The freshness of the air and the uniqueness of the setting never fail to inspire one. Sleeping in comfortable tents alongside of lion enclosures is a treat.

My wife and I had this on our bucket list to do. Andi and Line are amazing with the animals who are their top priority. The interactions are amazing to see. Accommodation in the tents is more than acceptable. Do not go there if you expecting a safari with all the trimmings and waiters at your beck and call. Please go if you want to see lions in a natural habitat and two owners who work tirelessly to give them a good home. We loved the experience and will visit again. Keep on doing what you do Andi and Line.
