Nice place to stay, but shared electricity between our site and the next, which meant needing an extended 30 amp cord for hookup. The owner loaned us one. The owners were fantastic and the parks bathhouse was very clean, and nice laundry room. Nothing fancy about this park but it was nice quiet and a great place to stay.

This is a decent, quiet campground. The lots are very shady, not a lot of grass. The lots and driveway are all gravel. We are on C2, which is a pull through site, but with the location of trees, we will have to back out. It's a little over a half hour drive to Traverse City. The pool is nice and heated. The layout of the campground is a little funky. The WiFi is $2/day, $12/week or $30/month through a third party provider. The WiFi speeds are around 5 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up.

There are actual sites with trees! The layout is a bit odd; the "permanent" residents strewn throughout, and depending on your spot, a bit of road noise. Overall though, it is easy to get into the grounds, the sites are wooded, and for the most part, it is quiet. There are a few trails through the campgrounds and tons nearby. If you are more into the semi-rustic feel, you will love this place, but if you are looking for the well-groomed field of concrete pads, you will not like this at all. They just added Wi-Fi as of 13 June. It is 1 USD a day. I didn't have a chance to try it so can't speak to the quality. On this same day they cut and buried all of the cable lines. Apparently they do not work and they got tired of the questions. NOTE: Bring leveling blocks. Many of the sites are all over the place. We needed the full stack for the airstream in B1.

New owners have taken over the campground. This was their first month. It started life as a KOA campground in the 70’s. They were super friendly. It was hard to find a flat site. It was also a bit too shady, felt like trimming out a few trees would add more light. It looks like there has been some deferred maintenance that the new owners are working on. The bathrooms are old but they were clean. Looks like they clean at night and again in the morning. Shower was a little short for me, have to duck to wash my hair, but the water was hot. Sink faucets a bit of a challenge. Pool area was nice and had garden space around it. Started out in a tent site but it would not work. Too tight to get van in. Bathrooms a big hike to get to. Doesn’t ever make sense to me that the sites furthest from bathhouse are tent sites! They usually don’t carry their own bathrooms. Could here traffic from US 131 and M 72 but it died down as the night wore on.

This is a nicely shaded private campground with slightly larger than average sites. Sites are mostly unlevel and we had to use our boards. This place has the "feel" of a state park. The staff was friendly and gave us a choice of several sites upon arrival. Due tree cover, satellite TV is all but impossible here. Some sites have cable TV available for an additional $2.00 per day. Over the air TV was good and all three major networks are available in HD as well as PBS and some of the other networks. Satellite radio (our newest toy) worked perfectly despite the tree cover.

Older campground in a central location but far enough away from the traffic and congestion. Clean but the bathrooms could use some work and updates. Owners and managers were friendly. Place was nearly empty during the week but filled in nicely on the weekend.
