The hosts were wonderful. The space was quiet. However, the site was extremely uneven, the utilities were on the opposite side of where they should be for a back in, and the gravel was lacking. The price we paid was equivalent to a city resort with restaurants, pools, and many amenities.

We stayed here for 3 nights and Tom was a wonderful host. We parked on the ridge in a section of grass sites next to some under development pull through sites. Views of Pilot Mountain were spectacular. Arrival and check in were really easy. We had good electric and water at this site. The campground is very convenient to Hwy 52. We will certainly stay here again when we are in the area.

Campsite has incredible views. We took short trips to Hanging Rock - which I can’t do justice with words, you just have to hike it, Pilot Mountain and Mount Airy. Also went to a couple of nearby wineries. Super accommodating owner, 20-volt hookup was fine for our 30-volt camper. Absolutely will be back. Quiet and peaceful.

So quiet! What a gem. We are not fussy and if you want designated sites with full hook ups this isn’t for you -and that’s fine with us! We were the only unit on the upper level and had a perfect view of Pilot Mountain from our spot. 30 amp electric only but that was also fine with us. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He told us to unhook our Jeep and drive up Pilot Mountain to the overlook. We did, and were not disappointed. It was a ‘gratitude’ ending to another long day on the road. There were a couple of tents on the lower portion but we never saw another person. Did not use the bath house but it appeared very clean and we had 55 channels on our antenna. We were here on Monday, October 7th in a 38 ft. Motor home. We would definitely stop again.

I called this campsite in early March and was told they had no water, but they could accommodate me. Showed up a few days later and called when I got to the park. The owner came out in a little cart and escorted me to the site. It was a steep and rough road to get to my site that I wouldn’t recommend for a class A RV. There was only 15 amp electric available and it was located a fair distance away from site. He only charge me $20 since there was no water, but there was a dumpsite at the top of the hill that worked fine. Our site was very secluded and had a fantastic view of Pilot Mountain. I would come back, but only if it wasn’t raining and certainly would not want to check in at night.

I camped here with the wife and kids. It's not the newest campground but it has everything you need and it's very secluded and quiet. Everything was clean and working. They have a nice bath house, sell propane and firewood and most spots have a nice fire ring where you can sit by the fire. Located on an beautiful green 180 acre field, the campground is right in the middle of the property covered with trees. It's like parking your camper in a small wooded area in the middle of a giant field. There is an amphitheater and concerts are held there sometimes, spots near the bathhouse might hear some music in the background, spots near the pond are too far away.
