We prefer to boondock, but nothing in this area, so chose this campground. It's a community of permanent RVers, with plenty of nightly spots. Very close together, but we are here in October and it is very quiet. $30 is usually a non-electric site, but they gave us our choice of spaces since they had room. Close to the historic downtown and grocery store. Easy dump and fill. Nice folk. A bit of road noise.

I normally do State Parks but couldn’t because of CoVid. But, Kinda fun to go redneck once in awhile. Many campers and one group in particular cranking up the country music. ( I listen to country most of the time. Just not at high volume). Tons of fishing, beer drinking, kids catching snakes and driving golf carts, and small lots. No Privacy ! Quite time is 11:00pm that ends up being about 11:30pm. Back rustic tent lots have stench of dead fish coming from somewhere. Get a full hookup site cause the dump station leans the opposite way of camper drain. LOL. It was an amusing weekend and like I said kinda fun to go redneck once in awhile. Awesome AT&T data signal though.

Stayed here for Labor Day weekend 2018. We had other plans for Labor Day that fell through last minute, so we were scrambling to find a spot. When I called they had no spots, but about an hour later the lady called me back and said someone had just cancelled so we could have that spot. Great customer service!!! We were working on another place, but it didn’t work out so called her the next day and booked. We went with a water site with water and electricity. It was a nice spot and we were able to get in easily. Check-in process was easy, and staff was friendly. They do have a dump station on site which is always helpful. The weather was horrible, and it rained the entire weekend. Our campsite became a lake. I’m almost glad that it rained because there were so many people and we were right by the water, so I can see where it would get annoying with people. Overall it was a decent place to stay and we would likely stay again. I would probably not do a water spot unless we were going to launch our kayak. Seemed a little overpriced, but if you had a boat it would be a great place.
