This is one of our favorite campgrounds so far! Our spot was facing the water and we were able to launch our kayak right from the shore. There are a lot of locals that have their set up for the weekends with their trailers and boats. The owners are super nice and answered any questions we had. They have spots that are reserved for short term stays, but all of the sites were well maintained. Decent shower house with one shower each in the area we stayed. Great for walking! Got my steps in every day! Honeywagon service was available and we did utilize it. Down sides were the trash would be very stinky after the weekend and the remoteness. Signal was difficult with a booster and shopping was about 30 minutes away for a large store. Locally there was a Dollar General. But the lake was awesome! Definitely will be back!

It was nice to find an open campground with vacancies during the Covid19 pandemic. We needed to safely get out of self isolation & this fit the bill. Our lot was level but perhaps short for some rigs. It was fine for us. Sites appear to be fairly close to each other but the owner may have done us a favor & put us in a slot with no one to the left and a vacancy to the right. Many of the CG services were closed due to the virus. My wife prefers to use the community baths and found this one, while clean, not heated (?) and “satisfactory”. Lots of wildlife mostly birds & squirrels. No sewer amenities at site. Dump station near entrance. They close and lock the gates at 10PM for quiet & fewer unpaid visitors. It was quiet.
