So, this area is obviously used a lot by locals. We were at a spot that takes at least an all-wheel-drive vehicle to get to. There was a lot of activity on the weekend we were there, at the end of April. We stayed at a spot where there’s a swampy area not easily passed, we actually never witnessed anyone get through. There’s a loop trail that we were set up at the “end” of, which meant a lot of activity. Never bothered, and the closest camp was far enough away that their loud music and shooting till midnight didn’t bother us too much. It was mostly the drunken moments of them believing someone could make it through the mess at that part of the loop always late at night. This would probably be a good winter camping spot. The flies were terrible, but no other bugs at the time we went. I’ve added pictures so anyone can see an overview.

This spot is at the end of a 6 mile dirt road. Our 24 foot motor home did ok on it, but there are some pot holes. There is plenty of space to park. The boat launch is limited to small boats (row, kayak or small fishing) but the lake is big. We were the only ones here except for some target shooting that lasted for about an hour then all was peaceful and quiet. No facilities so you need to be self-contained.
