Every visit to Brookings has involved a stay at a unique park, but we haven't yet found one that we'd like to revisit. Driftwood is by no means a bad choice. It's neat and well-organized. Everything functions as expected, with the exception of the uphill sewer hookup, which we decided not to use during our brief visit. The staff is amiable and constantly ensuring the park is well-maintained. The laundry facilities are spotless and all the machines are in working order. However, the payment app for the machines caused a fraud alert on my bank account, and the lack of a change machine was a bit of a hassle. The $1.75 per hour rate for the large dryer is fair, though. Their WiFi is consistently reliable. The park's location is conveniently near the harbor, its restaurants, and quaint shops. The beach area is within walking distance. The park is peaceful and sufficiently dark at night to leave windows open. However, it lacks charm. There's no grass within the park, except for a small patch at the entrance where dogs are not allowed. If your dog refuses to relieve itself on asphalt or large gravel, you'll have to cross the street to find a grassy area. While the surrounding trees are lovely, the park itself lacks color and variety. We'd consider staying here again, but we're still on the lookout for a more attractive location.

Unless desperate for a clean shower, wi-fi and laundry facilities, and don’t mind your RV filling with the idling fumes from long term “campers” at 6:30 loading up for jobs, don’t bother. Yes, owners are sweet and place is clean. The smaller Beachfront RV, which is across the road and ON the beach, is the vibe for those of us who are self-contained and prefer green grass to asphalt and the ocean in view. Also cheaper! Sorry we missed it - it wasn’t on Campendium!
