Had an amazing time at the Day Lake Campground. Bathrooms where very clean and sites where well maintained. No utility tent sites where 1-10. Couldn’t hear anybody and couldn’t see anyone! Would definitely recommend. Even had a barred owl visit!

Really great campground, easy access. Site are large and well-wooded so you have tons of privacy in spite of noisy neighbors. Great place to stop on the way across northern WI.

We got there Thursday night for Memorial Weekend, I was worried we wouldn't be able to get a first come first serve spot. Site 21 (I think) was a perfect site for our 40 ft RV. It's close to the dock, swimming beach and hiking trails. As the weekend progressed it was clear my worry about not finding a place for a weekend was misplaced. there were many first come first serve spots open all weekend. In fact I wished there had been more kids for our kids to play with. There is a pump well near by as well, I know because I misread our fresh water tank level. We had to do the walk of shame a few times adding water 5 gal at a time.

This is a well kept National Forest campground. The sites are huge and we were able to find a site in Mid August on a friday night.

We had a spacious camp site which offered a lot of privacy. The site was relatively flat with a standard picnic table and fire ring. The vaulted toilet was a short walk from our site and was in good condition. There was a lot of bug at our site. You will definitely need bug spray or some other bug deterrent. The campground is close to an ATV trail and you can often hear ATVs. There was also a few other groups which were pretty loud (screaming kids all day and laughing/yelling adults late at night). Not sure if thats the norm there. Proximity to Clam Lake is nice for when you dont feel like cooking. We did not check out the beach.
