De camping is schitterend gelegen met een fenomenaal uitzicht op de Orciavallei. Vormt een goede uitvalsbasis om Toscane en Umbrië te verkennen. Terrassencamping (steil) in een olijvenboomgaard: bovenste deel voor campers en het overige overgrote deel voor tentkampeerders zoals wij. ‘s Nachts aangename temperatuur. Grote plaatsen. Het 25m zwembad is heerlijk voor een verkoelende duik. Ook de lokale bevolking maakt gebruik van dit zwembad. De camping werd tot voor enkele jaren door gezinnen met kinderen/jongeren bezocht die zich hier met elkaar en de Italiaanse dorpsjeugd volop vermaakten. Inmiddels weten veel minder kampeerders deze camping te vinden. En zijn er dus minder kinderen/jongeren. Er is wel sprake van een internationale mix aan gasten. De voorzieningen zijn basaal maar wat ons betreft goed genoeg. De kwaliteit van het restaurant varieert, afhankelijk van de kwaliteiten van de kok, maar voldoende eetadresjes in de buurt.

Wij verblijven in een 4 pers staancaravan. Het is schoon maar primitief. Het keuken gerei is niet veel, wij hadden nog een beetje eigen servies mee zoals plastic wijnglazen, mokken e.d. Geen waterkoker of koffiezetapparaat. Dus deden het in een pannetje en cafetière, wordt ook wel French Press genoem. Werkte ook prima. Gewoon creatief zijn op deze camping. Neem eigen campingstoelen mee, er staan alleen kuipstoeltjes. Onze Kids 11 en 15 jaar is er weinig te doen. Helaas weinig leeftijds genoten. Voetbalveld is in vergetelheid gesteld, restaurantje naast het zwembad zijn de luiken meestal gesloten. Speeltuin is 1 schommel. Het is meer voor mensen die erop uit gaan even een plons willen maken eten, genieten van het avond zonnetje en dan slapen en de volgende dag weer op pad gaan. En wat andere zeggen dat de tijd heeft stil gestaan heeft zo zijn charmes.

Nooit weer! Prachtige locatie maar de tijd heeft er enorm stil gestaan. Tijdreizen kan dus als je wilt weten hoe het er in de vroegere jaren uit gezien moet hebben. Toiletten lijken wel schoon maar dus zeer verouderd. En blijkbaar elke zaterdag disco van 22 tot 02:30. Geen rustige camping dus maar meer iets voor jongeren. Niet wat wij zoeken.

Heel Mooie, redelijk rustige camping op fantastisch mooie plek. Onwaarschijnlijk mooi uitzicht. Vriendelijk personeel. Staat van het sanitair goed genoeg. Nederlanders overvragen (zie andere reviews) Ben je een pietlut, blijf weg, is het voor de anderen ook rustiger en gezelliger.

Last week we stayed at Camping le Soline for 6 days. We rented one of the mobile homes with a group of 6 and were very satisfied with our stay. The staff was really nice and involved with their guests. They frequently ask if everything was okay and if they could do something to improve your stay. The mobile home was clean and well furnished with the basic stuff you need. The camping has a regular pool and jacuzzi to relax. At the pool is a small bar where you can grap a cup of coffee, a cocktail or other drinks you like whenever you want. In the evening the bar is a cosy place were the locals and teens who stay at the camping meet. If we ever need an accommodation close to Siena, we’ll definitely book here again.
