The camp site was well cared for. Showers and facilities were spotless and lashings of hot water. Stayed for 2 nights on our way home, if we had known about it sooner would have arrived earlier. Pitches were large and plenty of privacy. Not far from the village which had all that one needed. A great place to stay! If its entertainment you are looking for try a large camp site. This is the one for those looking for a quiet life.

We wanted to visit the Lille Market (Braderie) and for this we chose to book a camp-site. I made some phone calls but all were fully booked. Till I called Camping Les Peupliers in Fleurbaix. No problems, they had enough room. I now know why. It is a worthless camp-site. There was no one to welcome us on arrival. We had to call someone. Then we heard warm showers were only available between 10 and 12 o'clock AM and in the evening there would be no warm water after 9 PM.Sanitary was old and did not look very clean. We could not find any trash cans. There was no bread service, let alone a camp shop. You had to go to the village to get some groceries.
The next day we visited The Lille Market. It was great but tiresome. We decided to go back so we would be at the camp-site before 9 PM so we could take a shower and do the dishes. I turned on the shower at 8.30 PM. No hot water and no one to be found to help us. Next time we'll use a motorway parking lot. We will be more comfortable.

This is a "camping a la ferme. Its simple but has everything one needs.
Especially for bikers. There is a room with tv. a stove, and reasonable furnuture. So, on a rainy day no inconvenience. For a warm shower one has to pay. The owner is helpfull and friendly.
It's allowed to place your car nearby the tent or caravan.
The distance to Lille is about 20 km. The centre of this city is worth seeing.
