The sites are paved relatively level. Got our 35 fr 5th wheel in with no problem. Electric 30 amp at our site. No problem because it’s finally fall

We stayed here last year and came back this year because it is close to y daughters home. We saw deer every day and had a woodchuck come and visit near our site. The woods are very thick so that you don't really have a lake view. there is water scattered around and two dump sites on the way out. The only negative was the design of the showers. Water went everywhere because the floor was flat.

We were looking for a campground near the National Museum of the Air Force. This was about a 40 min drive, but much less $ per night than the local KOA (good bargain it seemed for full hookups). Sites are paved with nice paved area under the picnic table. There are lots of sites but it was not full when we were there-someone said it had been full over the weekend. Our site was fairly level but not all were. Seems to be a popular location for fishing as there were lots of boats using the nearby ramp. Dark and quiet at night. We are 39’ with a wide turning radius and had no problems in the campground. Our exit route wanted us to take a left on 380 and that is a more than 90 degree turn that we weren’t sure we would make. We just went back to I-71 and took the exit for Hwy 68 north to Hwy 35 and all worked just fine. We did not use the bathhouse or dump station.

Good sites in the woods. We chose back of Loop G to get away from crowds. Full up on the weekend with tons of kids. Weekdays were empty (May) and peaceful. Deer walk through regularly. Map is deceiving. Have to imagine dense woods between loops and behind each site. We were pleasantly surprised by site size, cleanliness and woods. No views of the lake in this loop. Firewood and ice for sale in the store.

Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Spent 3 nights. Loved our spot (a fellow camper asked if we knew the mayor to get it…we don’t). Some hiking right from the site. Access down the trails to the water. Loved the bat boxes along the trails. Great dog walking areas. Very quiet, low capacity. Thoroughly enjoyed the nearby Ntl Museum of the USAF.

When the Corp of Engineers put this campground in did a great job mapping it all out, it even has 2 dump stations which is a little unusual. The thing they forgot was to plant trees, and this campground seriously lacks trees and any privacy between sites. It's sort of like camping in someone's backyard. Not much shade, no privacy. Shower houses and restrooms are dated, Ohio doesn't seem to want to put money into their campground facilities. There is a beach but it's a little gross with mud and sand. They just put a new boat dock in, so that's a plus. This is a large campground and so nice to ride your bike or walk around. There is one loop that has full hook up sites, these are always completely booked on weekends. The weekend campers are partiers, normal. Staff is available on weekends. The check-in office has a little camp store when they're open. There are some short trails to walk within the campground, but there are nice long trails elsewhere in the Park. Highly recommend using the alltrails app.

We have been to this campground a lot but not recently. We got turned off a while back by the new staff and the management. Prior to being disappointed by them we liked that the parks' sites were pretty spacious and usually pretty peaceful. There is no shade, or very little, most sites are wide open. Lot's of skunks and raccoons will visit you by the campfire, that comment is neither good or bad, just a fact. The nearest attractions in the area are the very large and popular Caesar Creek flea market and the annual Renaissance Fair every Fall. The town of Wilmington isn't too terribly far away. The camp store is small. The lake is great with a public boat launch and swimming area & beach. Phone reception (Verizon android) as I recall was poor. There are 4 sites with nice wooden shelter structures right at the campsites and those sites are nice if you think there will be rain.

The only reason why I stayed at Caesar Creek State Park is that I wanted a semi-close place to stay while I checked out the USAF Museum in Dayton (highly recommended, by the way). So I stayed here. Otherwise I wouldn’t have. I am not the biggest fan of the Midwest and I haven’t been blown away by any of the parks I have stayed at. Yes, there are some great state parks in the Midwest - I just haven’t been to any. Caesar Creek State Park sites are wide open with nothing between you and your neighbor. Spacing is fine, but privacy is limited when there are no trees, etc, between you and the annoying weekenders looking to party. I would recommend this state park only if you needed a place to stay in the area. Not much else to say…
