I made a prior call and had a pleasant conversation with Patty, who assured me that they had ample space (the visit was in mid-September 2022). The site was a drive-through, albeit uncomfortably close to the adjacent, unoccupied RV, but we still had a good time. The proprietors have done an excellent job in incorporating intriguing elements such as a footbridge leading to a small island with a pathway, a body of water, and a walking trail among others. They also offer laundry services, canoes, kayaks, and a mini shop. I had a delightful back-and-forth with Patty's spouse, Jeff, who hails from England while I'm a Scot, and I thoroughly relished my time here. A lovely stroll beneath the bridge leads to Mahoosuc Land Trust Valentine Farm, which boasts gardens and walking paths.

I called and made a reservation on the phone two days ago using my Passport America membership. I arrived today after driving 6 hours to find out that PA is not accepted in August, although my membership was plainly noted on my reservation. My expected $20 stay was now $41. Mary made the (un)helpful suggestion that there is a Walmart about 45 min away. Since I needed to dump tanks and fill water tonight and it was coming up on 5 PM I decided to pay the full price. I always check blackout dates first when selecting a PA campground but somehow misinterpreted the wording. I wish this had been pointed out to me when I called to make the reservation and I would’ve looked elsewhere.
