This is an excellent spot for both short and extended stays! Our journey south saw us spend 2 nights here, and we repeated the experience for another 2 nights on our way back north. A Costco store is conveniently located less than a half mile away, offering diesel, gas and propane. The park's location is just off CA99, making it easily accessible. The people working here, as well as the residents, were very welcoming. There's plenty of greenery for dog walking. Gates provide access to a riverside trail, perfect for strolls or bike rides. The cable service was decent, but the WiFi was a bit unreliable. We opted to use our personal hotspot for streaming.

The personnel at River Run RV Park are extraordinarily considerate and supportive. We experienced vehicle issues and required a place to reside for several days until we could reach a mechanic. They not only provided us with accommodation, but also assured us of their readiness to assist us in any way possible. The park's grounds are well-maintained and attractive, with options for both pull-through and back-in parking. Our spot was delightful, shielded from the sun by trees. The amenities, including a swimming pool, are excellent. I strongly endorse River Run RV Park!

This was a brief stop where we arrived late and departed early. We had made a reservation in advance, so our documents were waiting for us at the entrance. The site was easy to navigate and the bathroom was well-maintained.

I’ve stayed overnight at this park twice and it’s certainly nice enough, very clean. However the former river is more of a homeless attraction than park attraction. My bike was stolen off the back of my motor home during the night. Office and grounds staff that I spoke with were very nice and compassionate and suggested I email the owner. I was disappointed that the owner never responded to my request to review camera footage. In fact, they offered no response at all. I’m heading back down through Bakersfield again but will likely not stay here.

I’m working in Bakersfield and have stayed here since June. Great park. Clean, quiet, safe and close to everything. Highly recommend.

So we booked a "River View 60' Plus" site near the office. There is no river, it has completely dried up. So that was a bit misleading in my opinion. Showers/Bathrooms were nice, laundry was kind of slow but we were able to take over the whole laundry for a few hours around 9:30am and no one even popped in needing it. So that was nice, but it was $2.50 per machine and some of the dryers we had to do additional time so it added up on expense. The site was paved and the pool/Hot tub area was nice.

There are two other parks in the area that we frequent, depending upon whether we want the convenience of the city, or a peaceful, country setting. This time, what we needed was a place for a single night's stay, so quick that neither jacks nor slides were going to be deployed. A steak house we enjoy is a medium walk/very short drive away. And Costco gas is right across the street. The pull-thru's are side by sides - a deal killer for me. Some are even the kind where one rig pulls in behind another. The back-ins were spaced much further apart and much prettier. Plenty of room for a 37 footer and CR-V. Like the others we use in the area, the pad is dirt, but appeared to be level. Unlike the others, these sites offer a very long concrete patio, making it useable for all types of RV's. The trees in our area offered no satellite interference. Noise from 99 was constant, but actually less disruptive than the road adjacent to our local alternative. We will definitely return for a much longer stay.

This was our second visit to this park. There are two others we usually use depending on our reason for being in the area. This park may well be elevated in my preference. I don't care for the pull thru's. Check their website for more info on that. For a stay where I'm unhooking the dinghy anyway, I consider their back-ins the best sites of the 3 parks we use. Very nice young lady in the office. Very busy Costco about a block away. When the rains come, our back-in site will have had a great view of the river.

We stayed in a pull through which is very close to your neighbor (read no separation at all). Everything else was good if it wasn't for the ants. I didn't even set up in the 1st site I was assigned due to the ants. The second site was better but still had some ants which I sprayed. Bottom line is I now have an ant infestation on board. I've been traveling for 7 months without pest issues and after 3 days here I am battling ants.

We were headed to Sequoia/Kings Canyon from Phoenix and wanted to stay in a first-come/first-served campground in Grant Grove. We figured we have a better chance of snagging a good site there early on a Sunday morning rather than late on a Saturday night. When we found this place online, we scheduled a stopover in Bakersfield after 8 hours of driving. We arrived around 4:30, right before the office closed at 5:00 pm. The lady at the desk was cheerful and welcoming. We backed into our site, turned on the air conditioner, and went out to dinner. By the time we came home, our trailer was cooled off and we enjoyed a peaceful night in the RV park. There is a nice pool and stocked game and fitness rooms, too. They have a gift shop and small market area for forgotten essentials, as well. Before we left early the next morning, we took advantage of the showers. The restroom and shower buildings are immaculate and have beautiful tile floors/walls and nice countertops/fixtures. They look brand new. This was our first stay in an RV park, and they've definitely set the bar high now. The ride in takes you past some industrial areas, but then it opens up into an oasis of grass and blooming shrubs. The sites themselves have nice grass patches and patios. Our site backed up to the industrial area, but it was quiet and the fence blocked the view. Though the highway is adjacent to the property, the white noise wasn't bothersome. The pull-through sites are right next to each other. You're literally side-by-side with your neighbor. Those sites are more expensive, too, so I think the back-in areas are a better choice. On the way home, we stayed a night here again. Though Bakersfield isn't a summer vacation destination, this park is a good place to stay when passing through.

Stayed one night on the way to Airizona. New clean facilities, well layer out with level sites. The back-in sites by the river are really nice, but for one night, we just got the basic pull through. They do have a newer store and office, don't have any details as we missed the hours they were open.

This is the most expensive nightly rate I've ever paid but it was also the nicest RV park I've ever stayed in. The pads were spacious and level, nice green lawn separating the spots. Full hookups. Right up next to the river and right behind a bunch of hotels with easy access if you have friends staying there as I did. Staff was friendly, check-in was simple, cute store. Nice looking pool and lounge area although I didn't use either. Free wifi worked well enough. No negatives! I wasn't excited about paying this price but after I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. I would stay here again if I ever needed a spot in Bakersfield.

Great Park at a great rate... Close to everything. Uber to Buck Owens Crystal Palace was only 5$. Nice showers, store and friendly staff. Park is immaculate and well kept. Will always stay here when traveling through Bakersfield.

We made an unscheduled stop here due to illness, and moved once when we had to extend. This is a lovely, very surprising, park. When you turn down the street you're in an industrial park area behind some hotels. Not very inviting. But as soon as you drive into the park grounds it's a different place! Lovely grounds, well maintained. Every site has green space, but the back-ins are much, much nicer. The pull-throughs put your slides only a couple feet from your "utility side" wall/windows. FHUs with the best set up we've seen in 29 states - very easy to hookup and very clean. The park is along the river with a walking/biking trail just on the other side of a nice fence. Makes for a nice view. Park WiFi worked well for us. Nice little store for necessities and friendly, helpful staff.

I guess you should read out 1st review because it's still a great spot to stop in while traveling. We had a back in site this time, and it was more difficult due to the total length of our rig and truck, we were near the bathroom area which is tighter compared to the other areas. Other than that it's great. we'll stay again.

Stayed here just one night with out 25’ travel trailer in a pull thought site. Lots of room and right next to the bathroom/showers which were nice and clean. You can hear freeway noise but it’s not that bad. This place is within a couple miles of a lot of conveniences. If you have a dog there is a big open area outside the gate to turn them loose. Always a plus for us. We would stay again.

We got in late, but had no trouble. It's a great, off the highway location with access to stores. I'd recommend and would stay again.

I was a little concerned with driving In because the surrounding area was very industrial, but the rv park was great. Very quiet and felt secluded even though it is near the main road. Also very easy on and off access to highway. The facilities were beautiful. Nice manicured lawns, well paved roads, large outdoor kitchen with picnic tables for camper use, small but clean pool & hot tub, impressive game room, fitness center. We booked over the phone after the office was closed, but I assume they have call forwarding as I spoke with someone and they gave me directions on how to check in. Can’t beat the price, would stay again!

Very very clean place with really nice showers bathrooms and laundry. My space was number 101 which was right next to bathrooms and showers. Management was very nice and the entire park was spotless. Lots of shade and beautiful view of the equestrian Trail which dogs can walk ond too. I was very happy staying here. Very quiet other than some Street noise off of the distance but nothing too loud. I will stay here again if I'm in the area and would highly recommend to anyone. No problem with cell site on my T-Mobile service and Wi-Fi is included with the daily rate. I believe they also have weekly and monthly rates.

The park is overall very nice, newer and well maintained. We have stayed here twice and both times been in the pull through sites in the middle. These are extremely tight if you have a big rig. You are parked two rigs side by side. I wasn't able to open the bin doors next to the water/sewer hookups even though our rig was as far over to the other side without being on the lawn. Noise is moderate, the park is next to the highway. The neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired. Coming in late at night there was not a good vibe for the area. The park seems well lit, fenced and safe. The park seems to have a lot of long term residents. And the "river" sites are looking over a concrete drainage ditch. Not exactly a natural river flowing along. If there are no other options, we'd stay here again. That said, we'll probably try a few other parks before booking again.

We stayed here 6/20/20 one night in our 31' MH + 13' toad. Easily held both. We were in the furthest pull through site (89) from the freeway. This could make a difference in the noise. We had none. The map shows a trash can right next to this site. Not a problem, since it is in a slump stone enclosure and faces away from you. There is a nice grassy in front of your "campside" side. As others have stated. Large, flat, concrete pads. Clean. The nicest power pole I have ever seen. Someone stated they didn't like that the pull through sites had both sewers (your and your neighbors) together. This allows you to look at your neighbors campside, not their hook up side. I thought it was nice, but then again, we were in the last site so there was no neighbor on our campside. This was during covid. The check-in was a 'no-contact' setup. Fine by us. The pool and spa were closed. I only checked out the bathroom as we were leaving. It was immaculate. This place has their S#1t together, and the price reflects it. Lots of full-time/permanent residents, but they make sure their sites are tidy and maintained. Didn't spend any time at local destinations. We will be back very soon. Likely on our way to Yosemite. 11/7/20 update: We stayed on our way to Yosemite as promised. My wife used the laundry and it was very nice, if a bit pricey. My Q Eye hip tip: Costco is across the main street. Gas is RV friendly. I saw rigs bigger than mine. They have fantastic gas prices (at the time they were .20 cheaper than Flying J about 20 miles away. They also have Diesel! AND... Get this... Propane!!! My wife didn't let us hang out till 10:00am to get it filled (they open when the tire center does) BUT, it was a deal if we had. $2.10 on 11/8/20.

We were passing through from Utah to the bay area. It was better than we expected. The site was clean and well maintained. Liked the little patch of lawn, and concrete pad, keeps the hoses clean. Would stay again if passing through.

Beautiful rv resort. However it is so noisy! Located in an industrial area and fast, loud cars, screeching all Saturday night. As I type I'm hearing a freaking boom box turned up so loud it's vibrating the ground. Police activity- I assume from trying to bust racers. Very safe gated park, with tons of beautiful big rigs. But honestly this is not relaxing at all. Close to freeway so constant hum of cars. Hot tub closed due to covid. Is there a race track close to this place? If so....my bad for chosing this place!!!

We chose this RV park over the other higher rated one due to some questionable reviews and we have been very happy. Amenities are clean and campground well maintained. I took sick while here and we needed to extend our stay a couple times and the staff was very accommodating and helpful! We didn’t find it to be noisy as other review mentioned. Overall great stay!

This is a good little find, heading south bound and needed some rest and to get out of the rain. Clean and quite, large pads with FHU. Clean laundry room and the front desk agent was very nice, well stocked shelves in the store and easy access to local food. We'll be back.

Great price, 4 bars wifi, facilities very clean. Really enjoyed walking my dogs along the dry river bed. One of the better parks for the price. If outside, have some freeway noise but couldn't hear it much inside. Very friendly staff.
