The park, located on the fringes of the Chetco river, is beautifully planned, attractively landscaped, and meticulously maintained. The staff was welcoming, and our check-in process was swift. The entrance to the park involves a left turn onto a slender, paved path with a steep downward slope, so cautious driving is advised. The park's internal roads are broad and easily navigable for vehicles of all sizes. We were escorted to our campsite, which featured a paved parking pad, grass, and shrubbery. Our pull-through site, number 312, was sufficiently lengthy, though somewhat tight. The shrubs separating the sites are aesthetically pleasing, but they occupy a significant portion of the patio area, making it impossible to place our picnic table next to the motorhome once the slide-outs were extended. However, leveling the motorhome was not an issue. There was no T-Mobile reception and we did not utilize the WiFi. Although there is no designated dog park, there are numerous areas for walking dogs on leashes, complete with dog waste stations and bags. The laundry facility was immaculate and well-stocked. We experienced no traffic noise. The park's location is convenient to the harbor and dining options. We would definitely consider a return visit.

Although getting families together is a good thing it should be done with the respect of the other guest in the park... 5 different spaces got together for a family reunion and party with very load music every night (except the 4th of July), I assume the reason was that they left to see the fireworks or because they had at least a 1/2 dozen guest show up every night that were not Park guest for the party and maybe they were from CA and maybe had to work the next day. The Park does have quite hours starting at 10 every night and they did calm the music down usually about 11 so at least it didn't go on all night but the yelling to make sure they could hear each other over the load music was a bit too much. At the sametime we complained about it other guest were also complaining about it. I understand this type of place is popular for many people but if you're looking for peace and quite this is not your place.

Excellent little spot if you want quiet and peace. Park was well maintained. Clean. Amenities were not like some of the resorts we have stayed at in regards to hot tubs and pools and lots of people running around. Which was both good and bad. I do love a good hot tub but the view of the chetco river was awesome. if you have a back patio like we do spots 130 or 128 would have been great but 129 has a tree right in front of you. So that limited the amount of time on the loungers on the back patio. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Escorted into our spot and camp host stayed till we were pretty much fully set up to ensure we were good to go. Cell phone service as far as making calls was perfect but the Data side was a bit slow as you are around the bend from 101 and in the mountains (Coastal Hills?) Overall experience was great however in regards to our stay would absolutely come back. I would imagine this place during the summer months when people are trying to beat the heat would be amazing. As you could float the chetco and land right back at your campground. Ohhh and since no one has mentioned this yet that i have read in the reviews just be prepared for a pretty steep incline on the way in and out of the park.

We were staying in Redding, CA, and scoped this place for our next stop. It was all full. But Barb thankfully took our call and I asked if any cancellations occur, (for July 5 & 6th) to give me a call. Sometimes it just pays to be luckier than good! Most apparently book this way in advance. But the cancellation site we were assigned was with a river view. Nice spacing between sites. The place is very clean and just a couple of miles east of Highway 101. The bathrooms and showers are also very clean. Showers take quarters for 8 minutes. Good WiFi coverage. Don't let the rock quarry across the river scare you. They don't work and night and only heard them just a bit during the day.

The camping is very quiet, not many kids in the campground, a lot of residents/ long term. The river view and access is great. The bathroom is very clean but the shower is paid $.25 per 8 minutes. I would go back because the river and the site is worth the trip.

We stay here regularly when fishing the Chetco. We go back and forth between Harris State beach and ARE. ARE offers nice level (gravel) sites with a picnic table. Fire pits along the river. Excellent WIFI. Clean showers/bath. Laundry facilities, propane available. Helpful office staff and camp hosts. River view sites are the best in my opinion, sites 203-215 are our first choice. Nice views, nice walk to the beach for pets, friendly 'locals' that FT here too. The park is divided into full time and daily rental. The park is quiet at night but the quarry across the street is noisy. Since we're river fishing all day it isn't a problem for us but others might find it irritating.

We were lucky enough to find this park with space over the 4th of July weekend and for a week to boot! Spots are roomy enough. We had one just across from the river but there was no one in front of us. Brookings is big enough to have what you need. Groceries are a Fred Meyer or Grocery Outlet. Two bathrooms, showers require quarters. Small laundry room that closes when the office does. Very good WiFi. AT&T cell service is virtually non-existent, Verizon is better but not by much.

We were very impressed with this RV park and were able to make reservations over the phone while on our way from Rogue River. Cindy was extremely nice and had everything taken care of by the time we arrived, even though we lost cell phone connection during our call. The Pads are concrete, and our site was a back in and able to accommodate our 41’ Solitude. Each site comes with a picnic table. There are also pull through sites (which would be my first choice.) There are several fire rings along the bank of the river. We carried our chairs and side table to the bank overlooking the Chetco River (literally 10 steps from our site ) in the evening and enjoyed the evening sun while sipping some vino! This park is located about a mile and a half up the Chetco. The park WiFi was free and worked much better than our Verizon service. We used our Good Sam discount. This will definitely be our park of choice the next time we return to Brookings.

Maybe it was because we were here after the Labor Day crowds had left, but we got a nice spot on the river. They provide better than average sized spaces with a gravel pad for the RV, a concrete patio (with a picnic table) and an asphalt pad for a vehicle. All utilities worked well. Wifi was strong enough to use business apps for work and cell service was strong enough to stream content. We really enjoyed the town of Brookings and this park is conveniently located to so many things. It is also just up the road from a nice marina that has a nice coffee shop and a couple of good restaurants. Not much in the way of facilities. The office has a little social space and a few supplies. The laundry room has 3 washers and 4 dryers. The shower facility is very nice and super clean - but, they do charge $0.25 for 8 minutes.

Nice resort for our needs which are basic. River front camping, cement slab with picnic table next to gravel parking for camper. Good WI-FI signal (free with camping) but AT&T got only one bar. VERY clean bathroom ans shower facilities. Showers are $0.25 for 8 minutes. Laundry facilities are very clean and perfect for our needs. Manager and host were super friendly and helpful! Plenty of room to walk our dog in the park and along the river. Deer were passing through neighbor's meadow - very sweet. We did not experience any noise from the gravel operation next door or across the river. But then again, we were leaving the campsite at 6am for fishing. Speaking of fishing, if you're coming up to Brookings to fish the Chetco, Smith or ocean fishing, the location of this RV park is very good. Easy to access and close to all the facilities like restaurants and stores.

This is a beautiful park, well-run, clean and perfect location. It sits right on the Chetco River with green mountains all around. There are about 20% permanent residents, all neat and nice. The staff are competent and friendly. Sites are close together but there is some green space between with a picnic table at each one. No fire pits. Yurts and small cabins also included. Unfortunately just across the river is the rock company who is pulling down the mountain with heavy equipment. They start up the monster before 6 AM - even on July 4th which was a Saturday - and run non-stop until 4 PM. The company has a structure and fenced yard at the site so they aren't going away for awhile. For that reason, we wouldn't go back.

This is a tiny RV park with several full-timers staying here. Our site was #8 and though the neighboring sites are a bit close, the neighbors are delightful. Never felt intruded upon. Nice garden/lawn area that fronts the river. Perfect for sipping wine in the evening while watching the river. Owners/Managers are super friendly and helpful. Nice, clean bathrooms and HOT shower - no quarters required! We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. This park strikes me as more adult friendly than kid friendly as it's laid back and easy-going. That's not to say kids wouldn't be welcomed, I'm sure but the residents are adult and it's a quiet place. There's a small pet area for dog owners. This park is close to all the amenities you could need and is centrally located for fishing the Chetco! We had power, water, septic hook-up and TV box is available though we didn't use it. WiFi is great and we had no problem connecting. Plenty of cell phone bars with AT&T
