Beautifully landscaped. Full hookups, paved spaces, pull-thrus, clean showers and facilities, laundry, cable TV, free wifi, computer room, exercise facility, dog wash and dog walk with resident manager.on site.
We reached post working hours, yet we received a warm reception. The administrators unlocked the premises and we managed to secure accommodation for two nights without prior booking. The motorhome park is impeccably tidy and superbly kept. It provides restrooms and laundry facilities at two spots, a swimming pool, a spa, and all these amenities are available with beach entry across the Termini-San Luis Pass Road.

Having viewed the stunning photos and shelled out $70, I anticipated a luxury site. How disheartening! The attractive foliage provides cover for permanent dwellers, some living in dilapidated mobile homes with their belongings scattered around. This seems to be the norm for many mobile home parks across the US nowadays. Take a look at the actual images shared. Our spot was at the rear on a concrete surface (luckily), but devoid of any trees. The restrooms, however, were quite impressive. I wouldn't consider returning to this place at that rate!

Rate reflects 10% discount (AAA), cheapest site option (back in) Pros: - clean, new bathrooms - new washers and dryers - level, long sites - friendly staff, both in person and over the phone - professional reservation experience Cons: - lots of traffic noise from Stewart Rd; on MLK Monday morning I counted 11 heavy trucks in 10 minutes (you hear and feel them thunder by from inside your rig); I would recommend a site somewhere in the middle of the park to try to avoid the traffic noise - laundry located in women's and men's bathrooms (not convenient if two people of different genders are sharing the duties; not fun to be in the bathroom waiting for your load to finish; half the machines not accessible at any given time as you have to stick to your gender) - no cable (but could get all the basic channels over the air) - park is still working on its "phase II" of construction; will probably be a lot better once everything is in place and the palm trees get a bit more lush!

We were some of the first to stay at Stella Mare last fall, and to be honest, we would do better to come back and look at again. Much was under construction when we stayed, but we had an event to attend, and Galveston was invaded by 500,000 motorcycles for the Lone Star Bike Rally that weekend, so we were happy to have a place to stay. Some amenities were still under construction, but we weren't at all inconvenienced. The reservation system was easy to work with, and check-in was painless. The park is very nicely done, with large, level, sites and easy access. Even on the bike weekend, there was very little noise. Management is friendly, and the campground hosts are always available to lend a hand. There is a large pool and deck close by that has a view of the Gulf, and if you're a beach person, beach access is right across the highway. We'll come back next year and give it a better look, but we enjoyed our stay.

Very clean, quite, well maintained park. Check in was easy. Was taken straight to site location first. After we set up, we checked in at office. Large pool and activities around the park for family. Observation deck overlooked beach and sunsets. You can walk or drive across street to the beach. Back side of park is on the bay side. So you can fish from the pier. This is humid Galveston. Bring some fire ant graduals. A fire ant mound may pop up in the grass. Also some mosquito spray is necessary outside after dark sometimes. Best thing is the park location. Its close to the sea wall, but far enough away there's not as much traffic. We will be back.
