I stayed in the upper loop. I would have given 5 stars overall, but the water faucet didn't work in this loop. They do appear to work in the lower loop. The campground has pit toilets, but were clean. Sites aren't totally private, but spaced well apart. Driveways seem short and not too level. The hosts were friendly. The road has some holes and bumps. Need to take it slow but is doable. It was very green with wildflowers blooming. No service for Verizon. I hope to get back there this summer.

Sites are lovely. Road is a little rough but our 27 foot airstream did fine. Site 23 backs up to a creek and has tons of space between other sites. The upper loop was mysteriously hard to find (we eventually did, just to explore). As a result those campsites were quieter and many were available. Flies were a nuisance but the views were worth it. No att service.

We stayed here 3 days in the group site with 20 other camp trailers. Beautiful sites that back up to the river. Nice common area with fire pit and covered picnic pavilion. Great hiking tails filled with pines, aspen trees and wild flowers. Clean vault toilets, access to fresh water. Nice log cabin open with stone fireplace for hanging out after dinner. Some noise from the road but not lots of traffic. 25 minutes from Taos. Sipapu Lodge is close by if you need provisions.

Run down campground in nice area. Our site was pretty good. No hookups. No attaching hoses to get water. Some sites lack privacy many are unlevel. Nice hiking trails. Wood available from host.

I enjoyed my stay here. The campsites are nice size. The restrooms are kept very clean. The water smells strongly of sulfur. I was happy to have my own. It is “safe” to drink and the smell will dissipate if you let it rest for a day.
