Easy check-in and friendly staff. Easy on/off the interstate. Interior roads and sites are gravel and red dirt. Either decent spacing between sites or very close. The sites are not arranged in typical fashion but are angled in many different directions. WII FI either worked or didn’t – it would just stop. Directv worked fine in our site. There are trees but none were in bloom when we were there. Verizon was 1x 3 bars so we could text and make calls. Have mixed feelings about this park – I think if they just tidied it up a bit it would be a nice park. It is on the river but not necessarily a pretty section of it. There are quite a few long term RVs that seem to be in one section. They looked neat enough though. There was some traffic noise but it wasn’t too bad. Not sure if we would stay here again or not.

Our journey across the western region of Texas led us to an overnight stop at this campground, located half a mile south of I-10 on Main Street, nestled on the southern bank of the North Llano river. The river's flow is visible from the tent sites at the rear of the park. The campground is subject to minor noise from Main Street, but the interstate's noise is unnoticeable. The roads and camping pads are a mixture of hard dirt and gravel. Every site features grassy areas on both sides of the pad, and most are equipped with a picnic table and at least one tree offering shade. Our site, number 33, had a tree devoid of leaves, but we enjoyed the largest passenger-side yard in the park, complete with a pergola-covered patio, chairs, a picnic table, a BBQ grill, and two fire pits. We had to level our site a bit, but it wasn't a significant issue thanks to a board under one side of the tires and our leveling jacks. The park offered generous spacing between sites, particularly at our end of the park. The grassy areas and open spaces at the campground's periphery offered ample space for dog-walking, with several dog stations scattered throughout the park. There was a fenced-in dog park, but it was relatively small and bordered by 3-foot livestock fencing panels, which larger dogs could potentially leap over. The park's large tree was adorned with holiday lights, and a solar-powered security light was attached to the tree, presumably for after-dark illumination. Similar solar lights were positioned above site numbers and other small park signs, a thoughtful touch considering the park's limited overhead lighting, which was confined to the office building area. The rest of the park, especially the last two rows, was quite dark. Cell service was decent, with my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna providing 18Mbps download and 7Mbps upload speeds, allowing for smooth video streaming. A speed test on my

George and Carolyn are the new management and boy do they make you feel welcomed! George met us at the front and escorted us to our site, and his wife Carolyn was extremely accommodating as well. Bathroom and showers were clean, laundry facilities work great. We will definitely return!

Thanks to one of the previous reviews we knew ahead of time that the name of the campground had been changed to 10-83. We found it very easily and they had a great system to get checked in after hours. The lot was nice and level and we didn't have to unhook from our tow vehicle for one night. They have a little dog park which was good for our dog to romp off-leash for a little while. We walked down to Lum's BBQ which is only about 3 tenths of a mile away. Sadly, they were out of meat. Seriously. Out. My advice would be to call ahead if you want to walk down there. Overall, I really liked this park. I wish we had more time to go into town. I'd love to return to Junction, TX but doubt that we will ever be back this way with the camper. It looks to be a really cool little town online.

We stopped here for one night as a layover when crossing Texas and were pleased with our decision. It was easy to make our reservation, easy to get to the park from the highway, easy to check in, and easy to get parked. Our site was gravel and level enough that we were able to just park without blocks. Utilities all worked fine and we loved vegging out with cable TV after a long day of driving. We were visiting the park relatively late in the season, just before Thanksgiving, so it was pretty empty. Still, we thought sites were reasonably spaced and were definitely long enough to accommodate us without having to unhitch for the night. We had a shade shelter over our picnic table but it seemed most sites did not. As is typical for private parks, there is not much privacy between sites but there are trees which add a nice sense of nature to the park. The river runs right by the park. The highway is not too far away but we didn't notice any significant highway noise. Since we only stopped for the overnight visit we didn't explore the area, but there were plenty of gas stations right at the highway and a few restaurants.

I was going to stay for two months, but the boredom was killing me. Not much to do in Junction. Ended up leaving early. I would stay here as an over night as the sites are easy access, level and utilities worked well. If you have Verizon you will be very limited as the service is not good. AT&T works fine. If you need propane, its right across the street at Junction fuels. It is a bit noisy as it it is not far off of Interstate 10. There is a medical facility close by, so you will have a helicopter buzz over for a medevac ever now and then.

This park was extremely swampy and our whole rig got caked in mud from just one night here. There is nothing nearby on this long stretch of highway, so I guess that’s why they charge so much. I wouldn’t even stop here over night again.

Easy access and very friendly folks. Sites are long and wide and generally very level. Best of all, you can walk to one of the best bbq restaurants in Texas. It’s called Lum’s. The brisket is the best I have ever had.

We stayed here 1 night. Drove past it, not knowing the name changed to 10/83 RV Park. We called and were able to be in the site within a few minutes. Staff was very friendly. The grounds are well kept. Site is level gravel. Picnic table and fire pit available. Bathrooms are spotless. Very quiet area. Would stay again no problem.

The reviews for this commercial campground are actually referencing South Llano River Stare Park which is several miles further south. The map, location and phone number lead you here, not to the park. It is on the river, Good Sam rate is $36. We stayed at junction city park.

We tend to be a tad on the cheap, scratch that, thrifty side :) So it is rare that we spend over $25 a night on a site, so $34.50 (which reflects a 15% discount) a night is a HUGE spend for us, so I expect a LOT and thus am extra tough on any park where I pay this much. The only reason we stayed here is we are on route somewhere else with a deadline, and we were making good time and didn't want to stop, so we pressed on another hour from where we planned to stop.....and that put us in Junction, TX. The RV park is only about 5 - 10 mins off of I-10 and it is pretty easy to get there. It is billed as new park, but there are some nice mature trees there, so I am not sure what the property was previously but they did a good job of working around those. Currently there are not many sites, which are a short walk to the river, but they are still building out and from the looks of all the power boxes they are putting in A LOT of sites that go down pretty close to the river. Of the sites they currently have there are a few back-ins, which seem to be off to the side and in a more private area of the park, BUT they are right under a large bridge, so you do get traffic noise from the bridge above. For the pull through sites they have some of the longest pull through sites I have ever seen. I think you could park to 45 foot fifth wheels with room to spare in some of these spaces. Most of the pull throughs are a little closer together then I would prefer, and they only provide a small table, no grill or anything like that. They do offer tent camping and have cabins, and during our stay there were a lot of weekenders that were partying it up at the tents and cabins. Not loud enough to be disruptive but definitely louder and more active then you get at a lot of RV parks. Seems like more of a destination area then a passing through park. I didn't check out the laundry or restrooms. They have a dog park which at first looks okay size, though a tad small, but then upon closer examination you see they have split it in half. It is nice that it allows you to not intermingle your dog if you don't want to, but makes the dog play areas way to small in my opinion, especially if you have a big or active dog. I wish they either would have not split it in half or made it almost double in size (they have the room for that). I think the best part is that on the other side of the bridge is a massive county park, and there is a trail that connects this RV park to that county park. The county park was an awesome place to play with the puppy, has great river access, a boat launch, disc golf, basketball and many picnic areas. Verizon is virtually useless in this entire area, on the old 1x network. AT&T is useable. I did the same with and without the booster and averaged: 4.90Mbps down and 0.92Mbps up. I almost never use wifi but used the parks wifi and it was useable for surfing, though not for video. I didn't do a speed test on it though.

The South Llano River park is owned by the same person that owns the North Llano River Park. It is on the river, has several cabins, and is developing a lot of sites that look like they are on a sand bar. The long pull thru's mentioned in the previous review, they are going down hill and sideways, basically not usable. We moved to a smaller pull thru and it was Ok for a overnight stay. The cable system is a jurry rigged system off the Direct and Dish networks and picture quality is marginal at best. Verizon is non existent, ATT/TMobile is usable. The work campers are great folks and enjoy what they are doing. The "normal" price is $40 but offer a 15% military discount. The rate for the park should be no more than $20 a night.

I was pon my way to the South Llano River State Park but happen to find this place first and glad I stayed here instead. It is much closer to town than the State Park and has direct access to the river unlike the State Park. It is a little cheaper than the State Park daily rate as well. There is good wi-fi, water and electric as well as really nice bathrooms that contain a toilet and shower so not the usual state park vault toilets. It is also across the street from a city park on the river so you have plenty of access to the river. Well-maintained property. Ice & snacks in office but location is close to all stores. I rented a tube for the day and launched it right on the river; the State Park campsites are not on the river so you have to walk more distance. I tent camp a lot and find that sometimes the RV parks offer much more than state parks so worth the extra few dollars and there seems to be less noise than at the state parks as well.

We had friends workamping here and they extended the family stay free rate to us :) But even if we had to pay, we would highly recommend this place! It's in the small town of Junction, TX, easily accessible by I10. There is a big park adjacent to the campground, great for picnics, runs, bike rides, playground. The rv park is on the banks of the river. We saw lots of deer. It was very quiet. You can walk across the bridge to get into town where you'll find restaurants, a bar, post office & grocery store. The RV park has furnished cabins for rent (very nice!), spacious RV spots, shade trees, and an awesome bath house with private shower rooms. And very friendly employees! We probably would've never stopped here normally, but we're so glad our friends invited us. We'll definitely be back!

This is a good campground as it is not right on I10. There is a bridge that goes into Junction but I would assume that is mostly local traffic. You are right on the river and it would be fun to bring your kayaks. We are only stopping in for the night so need for any extra amenities so we didn’t check them out. Hook up was easy and site was very level. Would come back again when trees were leafed out and enjoy the river (or in the fall with the colors). Internet worked fine for our laptops. Did not watch TV. Sprint had 4 bars with Lite service. We paid $35.00 with Good Sam discount and felt that was a fair price.

We have not stayed here before and we found the park to be very nice and thought our site (#8) was great. It had an asphalt pad that was fairly level with a slope towards the rear. Electric and water worked fine. There was a lot of open space around our site. We don't have kids camping with us but this would have been a good site for kids to play and run around. Armadillos came through in the evening both nights we were there. This is also a Dark Sky campground and the stars were amazing to see. There were a lot of campers with tubes for floating down the river and you can rent tubes at the park headquarters. We rented kayaks from Peddler's Porch in Junction. First time we've done that. It seemed reasonable, $35 per kayak for the whole day but they took cash only. We would definitely go back to this park again.
