Our accommodation requirements in Grants Pass were fulfilled by this reasonably priced county park ($35 per night + $9 reservation fee). Despite being moderately occupied during a midweek in May, the well-distributed sites ensured comfort. The park, surrounded by trees providing shade, was near the river and the town's facilities. There was some noise from the road on the opposite side of the river. The bathrooms, although old, were functional and clean. The park's host was approachable, helpful, and always around the park for any assistance. If I find myself in the area again, I would definitely consider staying here again. (No issues with access for a 22ft travel trailer)

The spot is pretty quiet and has nice trees and grass. The restrooms and showers are old and need cosmetic work but are functional. Hookups are available. Nice flat spots for RVs

We have a 25 foot travel trailer and made a reservation for #16 on the park map it looks fine I checked in and was given directions we could not make the corner by #13 we had to back up avoiding tree stumps and cut through site 12 in order to our site I have no idea how the big motorhomes that are in the lower numbers are ever going to get out Park is shady and quiet

Access for large mobile homes is really difficult in some areas I had to reverse to get around a curve with my 34ft rig. Lots of public noise from the street side due to the boat ramp. Park rangers are quick to respond. Bathrooms and sowers ( two each for the entire camp) are in bad shape. No WiFi Dog park nearby and easy access to river and close to town makes this a preferred place to stay

I typically prefer city, county, or fairground RV parks when I want hookups over a traditional RV park. This campground definitely had that feel but it needs some TLC. Our site 4/5 stars: We were in site 4 which is a long pull-through. Fairly level and good hookups with no issues. There's a lot of shade and big trees and room between us and the next big site 6. We were here in October so the park was only 2/3 - 1/2 full not including the closed off tent area that they are renovating. There's a nice picnic table at the site and plenty of room for our dog to be out on her lead. My only complaint about the site were the numerous acorns that fell on our rig and truck. We ended up parking our truck in the small camping parking lot over by the bathhouse where there weren't large oaks overhead dinging it with acorns. Dog friendliness 4/5 stars: Plenty of grass! The site was large enough we could let her be out on her lead and there were several large grassy areas to walk her. Plus the general park next to the RV park has both a small and large dog park so we walked her over there to play at the dog park several times. Bathhouse and showers 2/5 stars: It was clean enough for a county park but the showers are in desperate need of repair. There are two showers in the women's and men's restrooms. Both showers in the men's room barely worked. The shower heads were somewhat broken, had very little pressure, and very little hot water. In the women's one of the showers was broken like this as well. The working shower still had a leaky shower head but it was ok enough to have decent pressure and decent hot water. There are no shower curtains so water goes everywhere. The floor is fine to get wet, but the shower stall is small overall. So when you get out and are trying to dry and get dressed it can be difficult to avoid getting your clothes damp. Overall campground 3/5 stars: I like this campground, but it just really needs work. The bathhouse needs attention and the roads through the park are rough and in very bad shape in several spots. Roots have bumped up the road a lot and in some places the road is just crumbling apart. If you haven't been to the park before I'd recommend scouting it without your rig first or if you have your rig stop on the main road in and walk about to figure the best way to your site. The area for sites 1-6 is pretty roomy and no issue, however if you have a large 5'er or Class A you probably want to avoid driving the apex curve at site 14 (check the park map on their website). That curve is a bit tight and could be hard with larger rigs. Also, I was slightly on edge while camping here. I won't say I felt unsafe, but there were some interesting characters in and out of the park. The second day we were there we noticed a couple in a van drive in, park, and then walk about looking at the rigs. Their attitudes made us uneasy as they were definitely looking at people's rigs and not just checking out the park. When they saw us looking at them they stopped and acted like they were looking at something else. Weird. Lock your valuables, people.

we have some friends who were temporarily Camphost there so we spent the weekend there. The road in and the sites are quite narrow. We have a 40 Monaco and it was a tight squeeze. All of the RV spots are fairly close to each other. Over in the tent camping area there were some people living in their tents and working locally. There seem to be a little bit of an iffy element living in the tent area. campground could use some updating.
