We stayed here for a few days with our motor home, tucked into the parking area. Enjoyed AMAZING views of Mt Shasta. Love this spot. A ranger informed us on the morning we left they stopped dispersed camping last summer because there was too much trash accumulation at the nearby restroom/trash area, and too much to haul down the mountain. Please come here and visit this beautiful spot…but there is no overnight camping anymore.

What3words address https://w3w.co/point.refilling.modesty Gravel pull out across road from Sand Flat winter trails entrance. Stunning vista views while also providing view of Mt Shasta. On 5 the temperature was in the 90s arrived at the site to a perfect clear cool 68! No problem maneuvering our 28’ trailer. Mostly level gravel. Leveling blocks may be needed closer to edge. We had the whole spot to ourselves on a Saturday Night! Worth the 20 minutes up from HIghway

Beautiful lookout in a turn out. Camped with my 35ft 5th wheel with plenty of room to pop my slides out.

We stayed one night. There was one other rig there when we pulled in. Another pulled in after us. It was nice and quiet and the views were great. Worth the 10 minute drive from the freeway.

Great boondocking site! Stayed one night while driving north on 5. We drove the 20+ minutes up the mountain for the views and this site did not disappoint. The site is an oversized pullout almost to the preparation area for climbing shasta. One other camper van in the pullout but plenty of room for both of us and more.

Beautiful spot! Flat ground for a tent or camper. Paved windy road about 15-20 minutes from the highway.

At first I thought this spot was too good to be true. Alas, it's true. Plenty of room for larger rigs. Right off the highway. There was no fire ring built so I made one (be sure to check local fire restrictions!). It's about 15 minutes up the highway from the town of Mount Shasta. Great cell signal, about 5-11 Mbps download consistently on T-mobile. I had visitors (other campers) that would park nearby in the same gravel lot for a night, but most were quiet and gone in the morning. I had one guy knock on my door, "Hello? Hello?" but I was busy and he left. About halfway into the stay a ranger came and asked about my trailer (a "tiny house"). I thought I was in trouble for something. Nope, he was just curious and trying to be friendly I think. He introduced himself and went on his way.
