Beautiful campground! Owners are so friendly and helpful. Sites are easy to get in to and are large. Quiet and secluded-which means minimal cell service. Only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer.

We booked this site months in advance and were really excited to stay. On the positive side of things, it is truly one of the best locations if you want to be in the Leelanau Peninsula and close to everything it has to offer. Leland and Suttons Bay, two of our favorite getaways, are really close. The sites are clean and they have full hookup. This campground is essentially on what appears to be old golf course fairways. It's wide open, no trees, full sun. There is an upper section and a lower section. The upper has great views and a nice breeze (that's where we stayed). The lower section is around a pond that looks like it belongs on a golf course, complete with bubblers to keep the weeds and algae down. The campers are set up in a large loop around the pond. The spacing is good and the noise is minimal. There aren't many amenities or really much to do, so you do need a vehicle to get around and see the nearby sites. We had read concerns about the mobile/cellular coverage and when we booked the site we specifically asked about mobile coverage. The resort offered to put us on the upper area where reception is better. When we arrived, we paid our remaining amount and checked in. Immediately we realized that there is NO coverage. Nothing. Apparently the area get slammed with people it crushes the connectivity. I set up my booster - still nothing! We monitored the connectivity on Verizon. Between approximately 10am and 8pm there was no phone or data. After 8pm it works great. I needed to work remotely, so this immediately was an issue. The campground wifi at the campground is also not good - don't plan on using it for anything. We ended up speaking with the front desk twice about this, but they were firm that there was no refund (even though we had just paid the remaining $400+). We stayed two nights, over the weekend, then ended up moving closer to Traverse City for the remaining 7 nights of our reservation and ate the cost. Summary - if you want to be in the Leelanau area, this place is great. If you are going for the campground experience OR if you have to work remotely (or need any connectivity) this is not the place. Would I stay again? Yes, if I was going for the location only. But I'm also bummed that they weren't forthcoming about the connectivity issues. I don't feel that they were honest when I booked this.

We stayed at the Wild Cherry Resort with the Xcsapers Convergence and it was wonderful. The park is peaceful, quiet (and I mean QUIET), and beautiful. There are no amenities -so you must be fully contained to stay here (that is, I never saw any bathrooms). The sites are very large and the ones directly on the lake are really nice. Stay down near the lake if you can. The WIFI is suspect depending on where you stay in the park, but our Verizon WIFI worked well. The owner and staff are very nice and helpful. They deliver the local newspaper directly to your rig each morning and if you receive any mail there they deliver it directly to you as well. If you are looking for a gorgeous and peaceful place to stay this is it. Great location -near Suttons Bay, Lake Michigan, Traverse City(about 20 minutes away) and Sleeping Bear Dunes.

This is a gorgeous place in a beautiful setting with large sites designed for big motor homes. We stayed in our Airstream on one of the grassy sites. There is a lot of room for each rig. As the other reviewer noted, there are no bathrooms or laundry so you need to be self contained. We enjoyed our stay and it made a great home base for outings to explore wineries and beaches. It seemed like many of the big rigs come to stay for the whole summer season. And who could blame them? It is a lovely spot.

This is our second time staying at this RV park. We stayed here in the fall of 2019, and have now been here for May/June of 2020. The lots are big and the grounds are maintained. The staff is friendly and the place is QUIET! That may be a plus or minus to you, but even with small children we have enjoyed it. It is close enough to many northern Michigan destinations to make it worth the trip!
