We normally have positive experiences staying in free city parks, and we have always made a donation to show our appreciation. This one was a dud, and we won't go back. Cons: dirty, loud all night (vehicle noise, noisy gatherings of people in the middle of a weeknight), bright lights Pros: 30-amp electrical (necessary in TX most of the year to run at least minimal AC), walk to nearby stores and fast food The electrical hookup worked fine. We did not use the water, nor did we use the park restrooms, as we were warned by our neighbor when we pulled in that someone had smeared feces on the door handle to the ladies' room. We registered at the police station as other reviewers have written, although there were no instructions at the park that said this was necessary. And we were able to fit into the pull-through by backing into the far end with our 41' fifth wheel.

This is a great place to pull in. It's in town, right on Hwy 83. We registered with the police dept which was about a 15 minute walk. They are located at 2nd and Ash. The park is at 9th and Ash. They need your Driver's license and registration.

A bit noisy but bearable. Laundromat right across the street and several restaurants and stores within a short walking distance. Very convenient if you need to restock supplies, do laundry or catch up on some RV maintenance and cleaning. Stopped here because of high winds and just didn’t want to battle the wind.
