For nearly 12 months now, we've made this KOA our home away from home. It's a delightful spot! The sites are roomy with ample space between RVs. Not one, but two swimming pools and laundry facilities are available. There's also a handy convenience store, a dining establishment, and common areas for socializing. The power supply is consistently dependable, even in the height of summer! Our 44ft 5th wheel fits comfortably, and there's room for even larger RVs. The dog park is expansive. Plus, the cleanliness is top-notch!

I haven't had the chance to lodge at many KOA campgrounds, but this one tops my list. It boasts a diverse range of RV campsites (their map lists 16 different kinds). Options include back in, pull through, covered, patio sky decks, paw pens, buddy sites, grassy areas, young explorer spots, fire features, and more. They also provide cabins and tent sites. The cost fluctuates significantly depending on the type of site. The campground is equipped with two swimming pools, pickleball courts, a gym, a BBQ eatery, a nature pond, mini-golf, a playground, a tiny library, a small shop, numerous pet zones, bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, communal fire pits, and other recreational activities. Site 1555 is a standard back-in spot (presumably their most affordable option). The site features a rocky terrain with a concrete patio, a wrought iron picnic table with chairs, and an asphalt pad ahead of the concrete. Some guests park their vehicles on the asphalt pad, while others park on the rocky area between the concrete pad and the neighboring RV. There are also fruit trees scattered across various sites. Campers are permitted to pick the fruit. They even had a box near the office filled with free fruit for anyone to take. Despite being a private park, the space between the sites appears to be sufficient. The utilities functioned well. For trash disposal, simply bag it up and leave it at your site. The staff members collect trash throughout the day. The Verizon signal was strong, allowing for calls, texts, internet browsing, and video streaming. I wish I could have spent more time here on this visit. I will certainly return in the future. Additionally, the campground is conveniently located near the 131-mile Tucson Bike Loop.

Our stay at this park was brief, just two nights, yet we were captivated by the plethora of amenities it provided. We brought our 32-foot 5th wheel and were allocated a spot at the park's rear, which suited our preferences perfectly. Our site was a level gravel area complemented by a concrete patio equipped with a patio set. Despite the park being fully occupied, we enjoyed the solitude of having no immediate neighbors. Our site was adorned with citrus trees bearing lemons and grapefruits, their fragrance delighting our senses. We were provided with full hook-ups, and while the cable TV service was subpar, the internet connectivity was satisfactory. The park boasted two swimming pools, two laundry facilities, playgrounds, a vast dog park, a basketball court, and other amenities we didn't get to explore. They organized a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning. We didn't sample the food from the BBQ restaurant on-site. The park was conveniently located for us to drive to a nearby folk music festival in downtown. It's worth noting that the check-in process was a bit hectic, so they requested drivers to remain in their vehicles while passengers handled the registration process. This approach kept things orderly and efficient.

We lodged here during a youth football competition over a weekend. The location was perfect, just about a mile from Kino sports complex. It's located on the more industrial side of the highway, so the environment is quite commercial with plenty of barbed wire and curiosity. But we never felt uncomfortable during our stay. The park and its staff were incredibly welcoming! The sites were mainly flat and very tidy. We opted for one of the dog-friendly sites with a fire pit, which was equipped with dog fencing, table/chairs, and a bench around the fire pit, making set up and pack down a breeze. The place also had two swimming pools and was very pet-friendly. The regular trash collection throughout the day was a plus. The on-site restaurant served delicious pizza and wings. We will definitely choose this place again for our next sporting or recreational visit to the area.

Good location to visit the National parks and mountains nearby! Very well maintained but also very very crowded! Note this is a giant gravel parking lot! The dog areas are super small but there is a large nice dog area at the very front of the park

Honestly this park has literally everything. There are spots with personal fenced in dog areas, spots with putt putt, and some spots with children’s play sets (slides, swings, etc).

Stayed in tent site DT4 for one night. Had a nice covered patio over picnic table with wall facing the afternoon sun. Lighting, electric, water, large sink, fire pit, storage locker and nice tent pad which I didn’t use as I have a truck mounted rack tent. But these were well thought out. Only problem is for a huge KOA, there are only 4 tent sites. Dog park was nice. People were friendly and bathrooms were clean.

Great park. Spent 4 days here. Had a covered site (great as we were visiting in July/August). The kids swam each day. Staff were very helpful. 10 out of 10 would stay here again.

This was the first KOA we’ve stayed at that we felt could be called a resort, which probably means more about the other KOAs we’ve stayed at than this one. This place is set up to deal with rigs of all sizes. Most sites seemed very level. We utilized the on-site laundry and picked up dinner one night from the on-site BBQ place (very good sticky wings and mac). We were on a row next to the covered sites. While the shade may have been a good idea in the heat, from our position it seemed like the AC units echoed off the shade structure and may have been loud underneath. The largest dog park was near the entry which was a walk from our site in the heat. The smaller dog parks had a nice grassy spot for our dog to enjoy. We chose this campground based on location to the Saguaro Parks and Mt Lemmon and it worked well for our activities while in Tucson. There is a Target and all sorts of suburbia just a few minutes away if needed.

We normally prefer campgrounds that are more remote and out in nature, but it was nice to splurge and enjoy the luxuries this resort offers - laundry room, heated pools, clean hot tubs, full hook ups, fruit trees, fire pits, activities, curbside garbage and recycling pickup. This has to be the nicest KOA we've ever stayed at. The surrounding area is a little sketchy...there is barbed wire around the entire resort. Also the road noise was pretty loud so bring your earplugs. A little too expensive for us to stay here regularly, but you get what you pay for.

- Stayed at several sites due to availability. All were nice. - Honestly, as a whole. the place had a weird vibe. Hard to explain. - Most of the staff members were very nice. - Really large sites. Combo of gravel and pavement. Width of sites are about 3 trailers wide. - Really good food from the BBQ restaurant on-site! - Laundry facilities were clean and in good condition. Where KOA is lacking here: - I didn't appreciate that the KOA "Resort" allows a few long-term residents to be aggressive with politically inspired flags and allow them speed and such on the campground. For a "Resort" I expect a less divisive atmosphere. I'm fine with the flags. Just not at something labeled a "Resort."

We stayed here for a little over a month. The park is beautiful with orange, lemon, and grapefruit trees at the campsites. We made fresh squeezed orange juice in the mornings. The staff were very friendly. The amenities were very nice. We really enjoyed the heated pools and hot tubs. One of the best and cleanest parks we've stayed at. Things to note that are not the fault of the campground is that it is in a bad part of Tucson. The campground is gated and has security guards at night. We always felt safe inside the campground. Also, because you are staying in an industrial area, there is quite a bit of noise from the surrounding area. I would stay here again though.

Excellent facility. If you need it, they have it. Pleasant staff, clean campground, decent spacing between sites. Couldn't ask for more! We had one of the covered sites, which is definitely cooler for the shade. The one negative review here mentioned "not a blade of grass". Well, you're in Tucson, AZ. It's almost impossible to find a blade of grass in the state. The poster was right about the trains, though. Wasn't loud enough to bother me, but it did my wife, some. Would definitely stay here again!

KOA Resort, continuously wins awards as one of the best in the country. We've been here several times throughout the years and always enjoy our stay. Two heated pools, two big laundry rooms, fitness center, showers, clubhouse, putt putt golf, rental carts, turtle pond, horseshoes, pickle ball, scheduled events for all. Very active daily schedules for all ages, such as yoga, ice cream socials, pancake breakfasts, tie-dye t-shirts, especially during the busy season (Fall to Spring). On-site BBQ restaurant is very good and will deliver to site, but it has gotten very expensive (over $100 to feed our family of 5). This KOA is constantly improving. I saw a panning for gems area I had not seen before. Last time we were here, they were ripping up an entire section to convert every site to the more expensive firepit patio sites. This time, they were doing the same to a different area, which meant power outages every day for us as well as a water outage. Many types of sites to choose from that vary greatly in price - basic has just a concrete slab with metal table and chairs, upgrade from there to firepit patios, two-story patios, fenced in pet yards, grassy sites, or sites under the solar panels. Has gotten very expensive over the years. We used to stay for a month for under $900. I think it's almost double that now. The extensive gift shop is beautiful but expensive. I made the mistake of buying a tire chalk for $40 there that I later found at Walmart for $25. Good in a pinch, though. Lazydays and Camping World are very close by. Everything else is a drive because this area of town is really bad. The RV Park is fenced with a security gate, but you'll hear sirens every night and have helicopters flying low overhead. We don't mind the aircraft noise from the nearby airport or Air Force Base. Just be warned in case these noises may bother you. All said, we love this park and it is our go-to park when in Tucson.

We were planning to boondock when we broke the valve on our fresh water tank, so we decided to grab a last minute reservation to have city water while we shopped for the part to fix it. The sites at this park are well maintained and we enjoyed all the fruit trees (oranges, lemons and grapefruits). They have tons of activities going on all the time (like tie dye and pancake breakfasts). People seemed to be enjoying the hot tubs, pickle ball courts and putting greens. We hoped to do laundry but both laundry rooms were always full with people waiting. One had about 12 machines and the other about 8, although both locations had 2-3 washers that were out of order, so we ended up going to a laundromat instead. The bathrooms/showers felt a little dingy and also had multiple stalls marked out of order. We had no issues with cell service. They did give us a code for WiFi but we never tried it. Overall this served its purpose for us and we could see people who are more into the resort style and amenities loving it.

Had a FHU back in site for 37 foot class A. Site pretty level. Also included in this site was a concrete patio and patio set. In front of patio was asphalt section to park tow vehicle. Space was OK for an RV park (you could fit a vehicle between patio and neighbors RV). They had a variety of scheduled activities, but we did not attend any. Propane fire pits with chairs near main building, pool, and pickle ball courts. Good Verizon signal. Able to text, search internet, and stream videos. Worse part about the campground: the other campers who let their dogs bark for hours, leave their dogs at camp while they go out, and not pick up their dog poop.

Upon check in we discovered the buddy site TV was damaged. The next day they had a brand new TV installed. The restaurant food very good. Loved the Mac&Cheese. The sites are not exactly level but managed to get the trailers level. Power was very good.Staff and support very good. Overall excellent stay.

We enjoyed our stay here. Easy access from I-10. Beautifully landscaped with some mature trees for shade, and impeccably maintained. Large sites with crushed stone landing pad, concrete patio with decorative metal table and chairs, and a paved parking area for the toad. Sites under shade structures are available. Our site was a pull-through and we had plenty of room for our car. Roads are paved, wide, and were easy to navigate in our 40ft motorhome. Utilities worked with no issues. WiFi and T-mobile were good. We had good barbecue from the on-site restaurant. There are a couple of fenced dog runs and several other leash-walk areas. If you want to use the fenced runs, I suggest you request a site near them since this park is so big it can be a long walk. They do offer some sites which include your own private fenced dog run. I recommend this park. We would stay here again if in the area.

We stayed here for 4 months. The sites are very big and well kept. This is a large park with lots of different kind of sites. Even the basic sites have a cement patio and fruit trees with lots of space in between spots. Most of the office staff seem very disorganized at times and have people moving several times during their stay, long term and short term. The staff changes every couple months though cause most are a part of the KOA work program and so they are temporary workers. We also had electrical issues during our stay with low voltage (less than 110) My best advice- do NOT take your surge protector off at any time during your stay. It’s nice gated park, but it’s in a bad part of town. Many nights we heard cops and sirens on the other side of the wall, too, so if you have the option, try to be in the middle part of the park and not against the back wall. Overall, we would stay here again. It has a lot of amenities and seems to be the best option for the area

We pulled in around 5:30 that evening. So didn’t get a full experience. We did get a spot right next to the pool. Pool was a tad warm but was needed since the sun had gone down enough to where the pool was totally in the shade. Not even indirect light hit the area. After that we hit the bbq restaurant which had a great environment. Food was severely disappointed. The bbq was bland. I cook a lot at home and maybe it’s just not up to what I can do. The description of the food on the menu had my mouth watering and then I get it and I’m having to run the ribs into the sticky chickening sauce that was left over from the kids.

Great campground while visiting family in the area. TON of amenities, very big campground. Spaces were good size and we had a bit of extra privacy with the tree and bushes at our site which was nice. Really well maintained campground and biggest dog park we have seen yet, our dog loved it! Would definitely stay again and for longer!

We had an extended stay here at the Tucson Lazydays KOA during the months of January and February. We somehow got lucky enough to snag site #1513, which I'd say is probably the best in the park. It had a huge patio and fireplace with plenty of room for activities. That said, I'd happily stay in most of the other sites as well. The park itself was very clean and well maintained. Sometimes when putting my trash out for on-site pickup, it would be gone before I could get back in the door of our RV! They also offer recycling which was nice. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Deliveries of firewood to the site were quick. The on-site BBQ restaurant was pretty decent. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there, but the convenience of the location made it a winner for a lazy dinner. The smoked meatloaf was pretty tasty. If I had to ding anything, I'd say the water pressure was mediocre at best and seemed to fluctuate during the busy periods. I'm sure it's not the KOA's fault, but it's something to be aware of. It was a minor inconvenience.

Wow! This is truly like staying at a resort. We were a little unsure what it was going to be like because it’s right between the international airport and the Air Force Base in what seems like an industrial park. So, not the greatest neighborhood. But once you go through the security gate and you’re in the gated Park you would never know. We felt very safe and the surrounding areas we’re not even a factor. The entire RV park is super clean. They have so many workers constantly moving about keeping things tidy. They have many dog areas and the best dog park we’ve seen. The main pool was truly like a resort. They have it landscaped so nice and a large waterfall, hot tub, and waiter service at the pool from the barbecue restaurant on property. Our daughter loved picking lemons from the trees. We bought a juicer from the gift shop and made fresh lemonade.

We just started our full time journey and this is our third stop. We only booked one night but we were so impressed with the park and all the amenities that we ended up booking one more night. Everyone just seems so happy and friendly here! I will absolutely stay here again if passing through Tucson in the future. Here’s the “bads”- It does kind of seem like it’s in a rougher part of town BUT the park is gated and I haven’t noticed any issues in side the park. It’s a tiny bit loud in the sense that I can hear kids playing in the pool and yesterday there was some loud music playing poolside as well. The noise doesn’t personally bother me at all but I know for some people it may be an issue

Nice campground with lots of amenities. Some sections of park had lots of children playing on the streets. Our section was very quiet. Variety of sites available. We stayed in a standard back in site which seemed plenty wide. RV was on gravel, concrete patio with patio table and chairs with asphalt parking spot. We chose not to park on the asphalt parking spot because it was to close to RV with slides out. We instead parked on additional rock area between patio and next site. Park located close to bike path. Liked riding the path East better than West (able to stay on path and not cross major streets & in nicer area). Good Verizon signal. Able to make calls, text , and able to stream videos. Would stay here again.

Price reflects standard FHU, pull-thru, level site on river rock utilizing KOA Klub discount and rewards. Really liked this space with distance from neighbors, cement patio and a patio furniture set, asphalt parking spot and our own citrus tree! We were also in a quiet section without partyers and little kids. Entire park looked clean with staff working hard. Easy access to services and the Tucson Bike Loop. However, the two pools tended to be too chilly for us and were packed with resident children who do not 'social distance.' Hot tubs were small and packed with people who got in and stayed in, or climbed in exceeding recommendations without consideration or social distancing. We were auditioning this campground for the possibility of an extended stay next year which we might consider if the world returns to more normal. For now, there were too many unsupervised resident kids for us. AT&T & Verizon decent, cable TV was good.

This was an amazing place in every way . . . except one which is very important to us personally. We stayed for a couple of nights in December 2020, when COVID rates were skyrocketing everywhere & especially Arizona. We had just come from a KOA in New Mexico which had 100% mask compliance throughout the campground. Here, despite the high infection rates there was zero mask compliance amongst campers anywhere in the campground. The staff wore masks and we watched them diligently clean campsite furniture after campers checked out. But, nothing was done to encourage compliance from campers. In NM there were signs everywhere. Here, they were actively encouraging campers to gather at group (super spreader) activities. Seriously? Over 300,000 dead and they go on to host a full slate of weekly activities and pancake breakfast like nothing is happening? The pool area was full of unmasked people. No one wore a mask in the restroom or laundry. Lots of screaming children ran maskless through our site the entire time. Groups of entitled snowbirds tottered around everywhere in blissful, maskless denial. Four adult males on one site openly heckled and taunted my wife for wearing a mask while she walked our dog. They were so vile she became too scared to go out of our RV. It was callous, we were very disappointed.

We are traveling from Calif to NC (almost there.) By far, this has been our favorite RV park. It’s site types, sizes and cleanliness are second to none. 5hey are also arranged to be very private. It will forever be the RV park by which all others will be measured and which other parks should aspire to in terms of the layout and site selections. We chose this park because it has sites with private, grassy dog runs. Were traveling with two medium-sized fur babies so this was a great option. That said, ours was back in the corner. It’s a huge site but the fenced dog area was too far away from our site. Most of the others are right next to RV. They have too many site options to list but some have fireplaces or pits, private areas and swings, as well as a solar-panel covered section. This would be great if you’re there in the heat of the summer. The park also has some other nice amenities and a great bbq restaurant which will deliver to your door. There’s lots to do for families, but this is one of the negatives for us — too many kids. They should create an adult-only section with its own pool. The pool closest to us was right next to play yard and filled with kids the whole time. Therefore, we would never use it. The showers were also right next to pool, which I didn’t care for. But the main reason, I can’t give this park a 5 is because of noise and mediocre showers. The showers are nothing to write home about and they weren’t sparkling clean, which is important to us - and extra important during COVID. Our site being in the corner was next to a mobile home park, which was noisy and there’s quite a bit of freeway and airport traffic. I also had 5G on my phone. Compendium needs to add that as an option:) But overall, we enjoyed the park and our time there...and so did the dogs;)

I have to give this campground top marks for several reasons. First of all it is well run. It is clean and orderly. Lots of camping options from tenting sites to cabins to enormous pull throughs with overhead shading from the sun. They have a great on premise bbq restaurant that will deliver to your campsite. We had a nice level gravel site with a fruit bearing orange tree. The campground is a block from miles and miles of fabulous biking and hiking trails. They are also adjacent to several RV service centers. They have numerous other amenities but we avoided them due to the virus. Internet was included but not always available. Some noise from nearby highways and airports. Seeing the fighter jets is cool but they can be loud. We would stay here again next time we are passing through. Very pleased.

We decided to stay at KOA because of its fame. The staff was accommodating to our request to be close to the bathrooms as we travel with our camper van that doesn’t have one. However, the bathroom wasn’t clean enough: there was no cover seats, one of the doors didn’t lock and, when we woke up in the morning, it was obvious that it hadn’t been cleaned. If you’re only here for 1 night and not interested in the extra amenities/events, I’d recommend you find a smaller, more well-taken care of campsite.
