Stone @ Old Mill Drift is a character stone building overlooking the dam on Old Mill Drift farm in Fouriesburg. Also doubles as self-catering accommodation for hiking club members or large families/groups looking for affordable, spacious and comfortable "dormitory style" accommodation. Stone @ Old Mill Drift has two bedrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size, double, three single beds and a bunk bed. The second room is furnished with a double, bunk bed, two single beds and has an en-suite toilet with wash basin. There are an additional two toilets with wash basins. Two shared shower facilities are available outside the building. Guests can also use the campsite ablutions. Linen is supplied. Please bring your own bath towels. The main room is a large open plan living area. The lounge section has two L-shaped couches and two large coffee tables. The dining area has two dining tables with fifteen chairs and a six-seater table with lazy Susan. The temporary kitchen consists of two large trestle tables set up with a 4-plate gas burner, microwave oven, two toasters, electric stewing pot, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, glasses and utensils. There are also two large combination fridge / freezers and a dish washing station with hot water urn. Outdoors is an 8-seater dining table and a six-seater wooden table. There are two outdoor lounge chairs and loose chairs, a large wood braai, fire pit with wood stump seating and a fire urn. Secure parking is available right next to this unit. Pets are welcome by arrangement and at an additional fee. On-site activities include trails of many types: Hiking, 4x4 trails as well as a training course, MTB, adventure biking, Enduro biking adventure running and horse-riding however guests need to have their own mounts. Other activities include fishing, birding, guided walks, swimming in dams and river, river-tubing, dinosaur site, star, gazing and many more. Nearby activities include Golden Gate National Park, Clarens, Fouriesburg, pubs, restaurants, horse riding/lessons, golfing, caves, shopping and spas.
