Visited in late March 2023. Our spot included a drive-through site, 50/30 Amps, complete hookups, a grill, and a picnic table. Overall, this RV park in Moab is our preference among others. It earns a 3 out of 5 stars rating, mainly because the KOA itself is quite ordinary compared to numerous other RV parks we've experienced. It's just average. POSITIVE ASPECTS: Spaces: The living/patio areas are more spacious than they appear on Google maps. Grounds: They are tidy and feature a pleasant store. Facilities: The laundry area is neat and well-kept. Connectivity: Verizon's coverage is satisfactory for us to carry out our remote work during weekdays. Convenience: Entry and exit are hassle-free. NEGATIVE ASPECTS: Spaces: They lack grass. Staff: The KOA maintenance crew smokes while working on the grounds, which seems unprofessional to me. It gives off the impression that they don't care. Location: It's a bit further south out of town than the Sun Outdoors and other parks, adding approximately 15-20 minutes to our journey to the northern part of Moab. WORTH MENTIONING (Neither positive nor negative) Surroundings: There are plenty of holidaymakers and UTV/ATV enthusiasts. However, that's expected in Moab. Noise: The road is always bustling, and trucks are a constant presence, even at night. Trucks are perpetually on the road, even at 3 am.

We stayed here 2 nights. They just opened up the new section we stayed in this May. There are no trees in the new section, a lot of rocks and red dirt. The wifi was slow but did have cable TV. I could hear a fair amount of road noise during the night. We were here to explore the parks and this was a reliable place to stay.

This is more of an amusement park than a campground; don't come here looking for peace and quiet. Some of the sites have people to the left, people to the right, and people in front of you, and there is zero privacy. People come and go at all hours of the night, and engines and headlights will wake you up. That said, this KOA is a perfect place to stay for a few nights as you go on day trips to things in the surrounding area: Arches National Park (20 minutes by car), Canyonlands National Park (40 minutes by car), the town of Moab, and dirt biking/ATVing if you're into it. If you're heading or coming from the east, I strongly recommend taking Utah 46 to Colorado 90 through the Paradox Valley. The area near the Utah-Colorado border and the drive between Paradox and Naturita is absolutely beautiful. RV sites with water and electric are $39-53 per night depending on the site. Wi-fi didn't work.

Site #30 was completely shaded. It's a full hookup with cable and is close to the office, pool (and soon to be new pool) and bathrooms/shower house. Easy access to both national parks, shopping/dining in town and all sorts of off-road activities. It's a KOA, it caters to families and kids so like the other review mentioned there is noise. Otherwise a great park and this is our second time here. WiFi is decent, cable channels are plentiful and clear.

The staff is really not friendly, the lady at the office was pissed for whatever reason. The lots are really close from one another, as there are many, it quickly becomes crowded. The pool is nice, it’s quite big and there is a spa. The internet is crap, we didn’t get any service. The campground is really close from the road so you can hear cars all night long. There’s not a lot of showers and they are old and not very clean. All in all, you can have this kind of experience in other campgrounds but not for that price. It’s not even that close to the city, even if it’s convenient if you are going to arches NP. I would definitely not recommend it. There were other campgrounds with a better situation in the city and I’m sure, a way friendlier staff.

Our site (71) was nice; away from the highway and fairly quiet. The facilities were fairly clean, lots of amenities. The water main was broken during the first day of our stay (which we discovered after hiking and wanting to take a shower). The communication from the staff was abhorrent, was told 3 different things about when water would be turned back on. One staff member gave the impression he couldn't care less about us not having water. The staff didn't answer the phone at the front desk the entire time we were as well as after we left to try to discuss the issue with the manager. The manager won't return calls regarding stay. Called the national customer service phone number, they said I would have to resolve the issue with KOA in Moab. Hard to do when the manager won't return your calls. Awful customer service. Considering what you pay to stay here (among the highest rates in Moab) I expected a higher level of customer service. Can't say I would recommend staying here.

A bit farther out of town, fine for us. Narrow sites, OK when you don't have raucous neighbors. We paid from ninety to one hundred ten dollars depending on the night. Easy check in and access to site, easy to level. We reported a problem with the 50 amp service and an employee was quick to respond and assured us that their electrician would be in the next day. He was, and confirmed and fixed the service. There were no further problems. As with most KOA's, there were several fellow campers who did not leash or clean up after their dogs and no staffers seemed to address any of them. We were surprised by the amount of highway noise even though we were in a section further away from the highway. This was an easy and efficient spot to fill our propane tank. Nearby RV parks seemed just as congested and several were flanked by commercial/industrial business which seemed less desirable than this KOA location.

I've seen other reviewers who didn't have great things to say, and I'm guessing perhaps things were different when they stayed, because we have had a great time, and have enjoyed the staff, who have all been friendly, as well as following their enhanced safety protocols due to Covid-19 (as far as we can tell, really). Can't really speak to the noise factor from Hwy 191, because our RV often has the AC running anyway, but when sitting outside the noise from the road is not overpowering that we could tell. Maybe if we were closer to the road or in a tent only it might be different. Noise from the road *is* definitely audible and relatively constant though (kind of like ocean waves, but motorized). So, if you're looking for the absolute quiet of deep desert or remote boondocking, nowhere near a highway or Moab's downtown is going to get you that. The RV sites are pretty close together, with many sites having somewhere between 10-12 feet separating the RVs, on average. Although we didn't use the primitive camping spots, the tent camping appears to also be relatively closely spaced, but we've seen quite a few tent sites that appear to hold 5+ tents at once, and the main tent area has a permanent shade built over the most common pitching area, which I imagine helps quite a bit in the 95°+ temperatures during the day in the summer. Haven't used the pool, but it looks fabulous, and has a spa/hot tub that looks like it might hold 15-20 people at once. Internet is really quite good, for the most part -- the park's WiFi is solid, reaches easily to our site (not sure about the entire park, we're kinda in the middle), and gets okay speeds during lower trafficked times (mid-day/afternoon/late evening). Wifi is pretty abysmal first thing in the morning, and during prime time (7-10pm). We've guessed it's because everyone is using their phones / tablets / comps to check email and stream shows during dinnertime, so those times we just use cell signal for internet. That said, the cell signal for all of Moab is great. We're on AT&T and have had 4-5 bars pretty much throughout the Spanish Valley / Moab region. Only once you start getting close to (or into) one of the many canyons outside of Moab do you get the dreaded No Signal problem. Great location in general, but a little bit further from Moab's downtown than we expected -- there were a couple times the first few days when we kept asking, "Are you sure it's this far out and we haven't passed it already?"

We had planned to stay in Moab for two nights, but after one night here we're leaving. The park itself is lovely, clean and well cared for. The views are spectacular in every direction. That's the only reason I'm giving this park any stars at all. Our pull through site was not level, but thankfully on the end of a row. After we had been here for an hour or so, a large class A rig pulled in next to us, leaving about 7 feet between our rigs. The camp host had to move our picnic table closer to our rig in order to accommodate their slide out! And if that weren't enough, their sewer hose is two feet from our door step...so that was my view as I walked out my door this morning, coffee in hand. Wifi was weak at best, most of the time I just used my cell. This was an appalling money grab.

RUDE RUDE Staff Called to cancel our reservation due to unforseen circumstances. Got a run around as far as holding the line..... then transferred to a voicemail. When called back again.... got a rude MOUTHFUL from another staff member. I called out of fairness to other people that are looking for places to stay (instead of just us not showing up) and now wish I never booked here and never had to call. DO NOT RECOMMED. Other places have better people, I’m sure.

The pool and grounds are immaculate, which must explain the crazy high prices, or just Moab standard now. I paid twice what I paid at the best resort near Zion. Lots are tiny, compact, in level, and next to busy road with lots of noise.

If I remember right last time around $65 a night. We've stayed there multiple times over the past 3 years, every time it gets better. They have new owners and they are putting money into the park and making improvements. They now have the laundry room and pool completed. Things take time in Moab!..in All the sites we have stayed in we had no issues leveling, water, or anything else. Store is well stocked for the essentials and gifts etc. It's expensive, but clean and we've never had anything to complain about. Overall one of the better KOA's

This KOA has many improvements including a new resort style pool. This park is clean with good internet. Spaces are tight and filled most of the time. Lots of families and kids around the park. You will have somexroad noise due to park being off Hwy 191 but all the campgrounds in Moab are that way. This KOA is a good base camp for the National parks nearby.

We loved this KOA! Our only complaint was that the beautiful pool was freezing cold. This property had so much for our kids to do and even though the spaces were tight, our location (right by the Cornhole and Ladderball courts) was perfect! We will definitely be back!

We stayed here during what felt like peak tourist time. This KOA , every RV park, the hotels and everywhere around town was very busy. Your staying in the desert so the sites are gravel and sand. It’s pretty dusty but to be expected. Very little green grass or shade. And it was so hot during our stay. But the pool is nice to cool off. And I highly recommend Mill Creek Trail about 3 miles away camp for dog walks and good cold swimming holes. The camp is well cared for. Clean. Modern. WiFI just average but the closer you get to the office the better it is. They have a mix of RV sites some huge some small. Tiny houses. Cabins. Tent sites. We were in site 105. It was huge. We fit our RV and truck and didn’t unhook. Had room for probably 2 more vehicles in this pull thru. But it was noisy and closer to the highway. If we ever come here again, I’d sacrifice size of site to be further away from the highway. Heads up this is one of the further RV parks from town and Arches. It’s not far (10 mins) but there are many others closer to the hub if that’s what you’re looking for.

This KOA is a crap shoot, in terms of sites, and generally tired, overused and congested. Great money maker for KOA, not a campground we enjoyed. Add in very high cost and it ends up on the avoid list for us,

Moab was crammed and they had the only tent site available. The staff was helpful on the phone and in person, the bathrooms are older, but clean. There was a lot of noise from other campers, but that settled down around 11:00.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin here for 4 nights-the access was great and offered beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The cabin was spacious and offered basic amenities including a shower, AC, cable, and a grill-the wifi was an issue during our stay. If you are staying in a tent or camper-I can see how this campground may be an issue as sites are relatively close and it can get very dusty/dirty. However, for us, staying in a cabin located on the perimeter of the park, this was not an issue.

We had high hopes for this place, but it turned out to be quite disappointing! It’s located on the far side of Moab . Really any place in Moab is close to both canyonlands and Arches. But for the price you pay here , the whole experience was underwhelming to say the least . They NEVER answer their phone , you can only contact them online . The sites are just tons of dust with a smattering of gravel . The front desk help was snarky and less than helpful . The change machine by the washers was out of order. The pool was closed for maintenance. ( and being that it’s summer that sucked) They for sure should put some money into the park , it feels like they feel like they don’t have to because of their location. We love and stay at KOAs all the time. For sure we would have left early , but that would mean forfeiting 150.00 We would not stay again . The worst KOA we’ve been to.
