What a stunning location! The lake is so refreshing, the restrooms and showers are spotless, and there are pleasant spots to the east. It also offers full hookups and water/electricity only spots. We are absolutely returning!

Made it there on a late week day, and promptly guided to our spot. We verified our plans of a single night stay en route to Michigan UP. Once we had a grasp of our surroundings, we embarked on a leisurely stroll around the scenic lake, and after a few rounds, we were set to unwind! If ever in the vicinity, a revisit is certainly on the cards!

We paused for a night during our journey westward and it was a fantastic experience. The location was expansive with a generous amount of greenery, peaceful, and the proprietor was present, extremely amiable and supportive. The bathing facilities were immaculate. There were zero issues with this location.

Very level and spacious sites. Extremely clean bathrooms/shower house. Nice, quiet, relaxing campground. There is a lake to fish in, walk around, or just sit and look at. I’m not sure, but I think there is a picnic table and fire ring at each site. There is a basketball court, kids playground, and a fenced dog park. The owner/staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though the campground makes you feel like you’re out in the middle of nowhere, you are a quick six minute drive to pretty much any store or restaurant you might want/need.

Really nice place to spend the night. Even though it is close to I-57, the road noise is not bad. Simple gravel pads with a nice area to go for a quick walk around the grounds. Staff was friendly.

This is a nice campground near town. The staff is very friendly, the CG is clean and tidy, the bathroom is clean. It has a small lake and a path around it. If you want to walk further, the path extends around the perimeter of the campground. Good for walking and jogging. There are chairs overlooking the lake, which is very inviting for a relaxing afternoon. We got a full hook-up site and the hook-ups are conveniently spaced. Overall, this is a very nice campground.

This place is a gem. We’re traveling long distance and needed an overnight spot. It’s beautiful, clean and well maintained. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Wish we could stay longer.

Had no idea what to expect. Was absolutely surprised by this gem of a campground. Host was super friendly. Even gave us a map for our way east to avoid 10 miles of extra travel. Pond is very nice, sites are wide and long, no problem for our 38’ rig. 100% will stay again for much longer. Oh yes! Power at site 25 was perfect. No low voltage on either leg.

This was our maiden voyage in our brand new camper, we loved this trip. It was nice to be away from home and disconnect but still have access to a Walmart and other stores near by. Our daughter of course got sick on our 1st trip so the near by pharmacy and store was extremely helpful. Most sites we spacious pull thru. We also did get to fish bit on this trip and took a nice walk around the park. They do a good job about enforcing quiet time especially if you are there to just rest the nice. We will be back this year.

I think the other reviewers have covered most of the positives about this place. There's really nothing to complain about here. It does tend to be full most of the time based on our experience and what we've heard from others, but spaces are far enough apart that it never feels crowded. The vast majority of campers here are big, new, expensive rigs, although there's not a snooty vibe in the least. The showers are incredibly clean, although there are only two for each gender. There's really no private changing area other than the shower stall itself and there's nowhere to put your soap or other items but a tiny wooden shelf outside the shower. Also it's kinda dark in the shower stall. I know it's nitpicking, but that's my only complaint. I've definitely seen more serviceable shower areas, but certainly none much cleaner. It's not a bad effort for the limited showerhouse space they're working with. Showers were a big deal for us, as we had already partially winterized our coach while there. Close to Champaign and the U of Illinois, shopping, malls, downtown stuff. The loop around the lake is perfect for a quick walk. The property is surrounded by picturesque farmland in just about every direction. Excellent cell signals and plenty of TV channels from the antenna here.

Only here one night on our way to southern Illinois. Originally booked site 10, but moved us into site 40 which was nice. Enjoyed the lake, and I imagine that this would be great if I had grandkids and wanted to introduce them to fishing.

I would echo the positive experiences of other reviewers: nice sites, all the amenities, etc. I would also like to mention how helpful Matt (“Matt with the hat!”) was to us. We are newbies to RVing and he helped us pull into our spot and even gave us a place to park while I worked on the day we checked out. He went above and beyond to help us fix an electrical issue on our rig. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a very convenient campground for those traveling along I-57. Highway noise is apparent but not overly intrusive with the doors and windows of our rig closed (it’s mid October so we are fine with this.) The rate is reasonable for a full service site. The sites are reasonably spacious for a private campground. We would not use this facility for more than an overnight stay as we generally prefer quieter settings. Verizon cell data service was excellent! We did not try the campground WiFi.

I can't speak highly enough of Matt over at D&W. I stayed over on Thanksgiving night during a road trip in 2019 and after a LONG day on the road, he offered to bring out a family plate of food for me that night when we checked in. It was above and beyond after an exhausting day. The site itself is well positioned near a major hwy but far enough away that you do not hear any road noise. You are also right on a beautiful lake. Sites are level and offer a picnic table and fire pit. Decent sized enclosed dog run on site to let the pups stretch their legs. Easy access for small and big rigs. My rig: 26 ft travel trailer with F150.

Would have stayed more than one night but I booked at the last minute and they were fully booked, understandably. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful, and they are out and about all the time so it’s easy to flag them down if you have a question. Sites are clean, well-maintained, level, and the hookups were also well-maintained. The lake next to which the sites are located isn’t huge but they clearly take good care of the grounds, and it’s a relaxing picturesque walk around the lake. There are three adorable resident kitties should you require interacting with something furry, as I often do. I definitely plan to stay here again sometime.

We only did a 1 night stopover after a super long drive, but the park was really nice. I was able to book online, but when they got there, we were moved to a spot that was larger and better for us to get out easily in the morning. The spot was probably the longest one we've ever had fitting our 39' Toy Hauler and truck with plenty of room to spare. There was a nice dog run, playground and lots of grass to just walk around. Everyone was very friendly and the price was extremely reasonable. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area.

Needed a place to stop overnight on the way from Nashville to NW Wisconsin. First place I found was closed. The second never returned my call. Then found this while searching at a rest stop. Very glad we did! Host was very friendly and guided us to our site. Convenient access off of I-57, but still pretty quiet overall. Clean, updated restrooms, laundry and a walking path around the small lake. Our site was very level. Shopping and food ~ 6 miles away in town. AT&T had a very good signal.

This was a nice park, lots of pull thrus on a small lake. We were escorted to our site. FHU. Easy navigation with our 40’ fifth wheel. Good Verizon and ATT signals.

Clean and very well kept park was so much fun to visit! The staff was very friendly, professional, driving us to our site and directing us on how to park was really appreciated and would be great for newbies. Everyone, at the park was very friendly and social and was diverse and accepting. The lake was nice sized, well stocked with fish and beautiful to walk around. There was a dog park and plenty of walking space. There was a small playground and The only down side is the relatively close proximity to the freeway, but that was not an issue and we would definitely return. Free WiFi, good AT&T and Sprint cell coverage and good TV reception,

I love to complain, so this park is a disappointment haha. Absolutely nothing to complain about, convenient to the highway, plenty of places to shop or eat nearby. I’m making this my south of Chicago go-to.

Nice hosts and good signage. Small lake. Clean park. Large lots few on lake. Water cloudy with an odor. Good location if you can tune out highway noise. No cable and internet is iffy.

We have stayed here 2 times. Once for 4 weeks and two weeks. Matt is an excellent host. It's clean and well kept. As our children live nearby we expect to be here often.

We stayed here in August 2020. We didn't actually have a spot next to the lake because we booked that day as a pass through on our way to Wisconsin. Upon entering the park, the owner pulled up in a golf cart and escorted us to our site (maintaining social distance) even showing me how to circle around on the grass so I didn't have to back in. These sites did not have much shade but wow! I've never seen so much green space in an RV Park! There was a huge field and a fenced area for dogs, a path all the way around the lake, super clean restrooms and showers. The sites around the lake had great views and a breeze off the lake.

A great find for us to stay at while visiting family nearby. Very well managed and cared for. Showers & bathrooms very clean. We used the laundry facilities also. Nice to meander near the small lake and enjoy the nature around there. Our spot had only water and electric but we enjoyed a little more space between us and the next campers. It is conveniently located near the highway. We would definitely return.
