We explored cost-effective accommodation choices in the vicinity of Sequoia National Park and were pleased with our decision to lodge here. The primitive campsites are spacious, providing ample distance from other campers, and include fire rings and picnic tables, all surrounded by oak and walnut trees. The fully-equipped campsites are situated near the river, which was quite full due to recent rainfall in California. The park is conveniently located just a short 10-minute drive from the southern entrance, and we took pleasure in visiting the local coffee house, brewery and pizzeria. Despite some reviews mentioning noise from the adjacent mobile home park, we hardly noticed any disturbances during our stay. The staff was extremely welcoming, and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

The ground at our 4th location was flat, with a mixture of pebbles and grass. We had access to electricity and water, although the water quality was poor. Our Verizon signal was weak, even with WeBoost connected, but our Dish service was satisfactory. The residents behind our site were somewhat eccentric, loud, and their dogs were often loose and barking. The camping spots are quite cramped near the river, however, there weren't any campers in close proximity to us. The quaint town of Three Rivers is nearby. We made a trip to Sequoia National Park from this location. Despite the high cost, the park's value lies in its geographical position.

The welcoming personnel received us warmly. Our initial location was crowded with geese, but they happily relocated us. Although the park is quite aged, it is spacious and more than satisfactory. It's a pleasant spot to stop over if you're simply traveling through.

Park is mostly permanent residents. One loop is for guests. 30 minutes to the Kings Canyon gate. About an hour from the best parts of Kings Canyon and Sequoia NPs. Make sure you read the email they send when you make a reservation. Office is rarely manned. People that didn't read the email were confused coming in, they had no idea that you pick an open site. Laundry room and lots of recycling bins. Campground is right on Hwy 180. Some highway noise, which we were right next to, but didn't bother us. Some coyote noises at night, again no bother. We tested the electrical boxes as we looked for a campsite, some are suspect. We had fire ants in our RV, defeated them with diatomaceous earth and borax. AT&T cell service is excellent without a booster. We were in site 92, next to the office and used their wifi all week. The wifi password is in the email.

The campground was quiet, sites were spacious. There was plenty of room for our 40' fifth wheel. We checked a few electrical boxes before parking and found wiring issues. We chose site 53 because it looked the best and after parking and setting up, found the 50 amp was arcing. It shut down the power in our rig. We switched over to 30 amp until we could get ahold of the camp host the next day. He came out and fixed the issue without a problem and was very friendly. I also had packages delivered here but it took a day to get a hold of the camp host with the first package. The office was not staffed either so I had to email to get ahold of someone. On Starlink we received 3 down and 0.2 up in the evening. During the day it was 15 down and 3 up. Clear view of the north sky, no trees. Not sure why we were having problems. My only guess is Fresno being so close that others were using it at home. We switched to Verizon with our cell antenna and it worked much better. 5 bars on Verizon and AT&T with it cell antenna. (3 bars on Verizon with cell phones). Be aware, there is not a grocery store close to here. Sanger is probably the closest at about 30 minutes. Also, get gas in Fresno. It's cheaper.

This quiet and clean split facility (residential and overnight sections) is a very good location for those driving into the national parks. It sits about 25 minutes down the mountain from the Kings Canyon entry booth. The facility is California foothill hardpan and dried grass with asphalt pads which are in a variety of conditions. You can park your large rig almost anywhere on the large site you self select. You can make a reservation and prepay or drop in if you want to see if a space is there. Not all sites have both 50 and 30 amp outlets - so check before pulling in. Water, power and sewer present and over air tv has tons of channels to watch. The office has restroom and showers. The site is several hundred yards east of a gas station and minimart - pretty much last fuel and food stop before the Parks (diesel available). Camp hosts Carlos and Luz are pleasures to deal with and are extremely helpful if contacted. They take pride in caring for this property and have been there for over a decade. While not the prettiest and amenity filled facility, it is quiet, clean, functional, and cared for. In the early spring it likely has full ponds and green grass that would up the visual appeal. It’s a great base camp for long day trips to the National Parks that provides a quiet place to sleep. We have no reason to not return again and will do so in the future. Carlos and Luz are working to upgrade sites with all three electric outlets as operating budget budget permits. With some greater investment by the property owners, this premises could be even better and more convenient to all campers.

Located on route 180 just a few miles before the road starts to ascend over 4000 feet to the Kings Canyon National Park entrance, this used to be a purely residential RV park. The office is just to the right of the entrance driveway; most of the sites beyond the office in that direction are occupied by long-term and permanent residents. The loop of sites that begins at the left turn across from the office is where most of the short term sites are. This is worth knowing because if you reserved and paid for a spot, you’re told to choose any open / unspoken for site when you arrive, and the office is almost never staffed (the phone numbers of the owners, who live on-site, are posted if you need to get in touch with them). So you can either park your RV by the office and scout the sites on foot or drive around the short loop. Each site has an asphalt pad, with some in better shape and more level than others. But you’ll have to decide if you want to put your RV on it: all of the hookups are at the back of the site, and having the RV on the asphalt puts the hookups on the passenger (wrong side) of the RV. A number of our fellow campers ended up putting their RV on the grass next to the asphalt instead for that reason, so do whatever works for you: there’s plenty of space between sites so you won’t be up against your neighbor no matter what you decide. Some sites have trees that provide some shade while some do not. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. The office building contains two self-contained bathrooms with shower stalls. There is also a laundry building with a few washers and dryers that also has one or two bathrooms. There are residential trash and recycling cans scattered through the campground for communal use, as well as a dumpster and industrial recycling container at the campground entrance. There is a pond next to the short-timer loop fed by rain runoff, but it was completely dry during our 2-week stay, making it available as a place to walk dogs. We also walked the dogs behind the office and in the grassy stretch in the front of the campground. There is a bit of road noise, but otherwise the campground is pretty quiet. There is a coffee place and a Valero with a decent convenience store a block away, but you’ll have to drive 30 minutes or more to reach a true grocery store. In terms of cell service, the best speed I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna during our stay was about16Mbps down and 10Mbps up, and other than the occasional pixelation or buffering we were able to streaming video every day of our stay. The best speed I got with my AT&T phone showed 54Mbps down and 4 up. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

We had site T6 which is a nice site in the middle of the campground with a lot of space around you. It does not have hookups which is fine for us as we have solar. The site has minimal shade that let the batteries recharge completely each day. The potable water spigot is towards the front near the large campground information sign. The dump station is way in back in front of a site on the river. My wife gave the laundry room a thumbs up. The wi-fi is excellent. Very strong and consistent which was welcome as there was zero cell service. The only noise we encountered was a group who waited until after the office closed to entertain the entire park with music. Their trailer was a Solitude and was camped 2 sites down from a large No Loud Music sign. Go figure! Three Rivers appears to have a lot to offer in terms of restaurants. We used the well stocked market south of the campground. The southwest entrance to Sequoia is an easy drive, but the drive in the park is not. Be prepared for many curves and switchbacks. You will not make any time. Getting to Kings Canyon is a challenge. None of the routes are good. If I had it to do over again, I would move to somewhere near 180 to avoid that drive. It was 178 miles round trip from the campground to Muirs Rock.

Pros: Close to cute town with restaurants, brewery and market, great jumping off point for exploring Sequoia NP, mostly level sites, water and power hookups Cons: Our spot backed up to the mobile home neighborhood and our neighbor was quite obnoxious and loud. His dog was running loose pretty much all day, and he was not a friendly dog. We were also next to the storage area which was a bit of an eyesore. Would be nice if they put a fence around that. There were lots of families and large group gatherings so it was pretty noisy especially on weekends. Be careful which spot you're booking...some are in weird locations (i.e. right next to the dump station). Didn't use the bathrooms or laundry.

The best thing about Sequoia RV Park is its easy access to Kings Canyon National Park. We used it as a base and for that it was perfect. I really wanted to love this place more, given the many 5-star reviews. The office was closed when we arrived on a Sunday. I’d made online reservations, but there was no communication (envelope with assigned site, etc.) from the staff when we arrived. We picked up a park map and, based on information from other reviews, picked a spot and set up. A sign said to text the owner, which we did. He came by later to check and make sure all was well. The “overnight” RV spots have an asphalt pad, fire ring, and picnic table. The hookups are on the wrong side at the back of the space, so you either have to park on the grass or come with plenty of cord and hose. Many of the trees have low hanging branches that would be impossible to park anything larger than a van on the pad, so again your best option is to just park on the grass. The sites are adequately spaced and given the number of short and long-term rigs parked adjacent to the pad, I’m assuming this is acceptable. On the plus side, most sites have some shade and a large grassy area. The pond is pretty much completely dried up with just a mud puddle at the bottom. Unfortunately, it’s enough to keep the large flock of resident geese happy. There is goose poop EVERYWHERE. They are loud and start honking about 6am and keep at it pretty much all day long. The rules say dogs are to be leashed, but there are both resident dogs and the neighbor’s farm dogs roaming about. Since we have a big dog who isn’t accepting of strange dogs in his space, that was a problem. The owner did try to round up a stray German Shepard, but he was still hanging around the next day. The section of the park with permanent residents is pretty run down. Lots of tarps and RV’s that obviously aren’t going anywhere and park models that could use some love. We did not use the restroom, shower or laundry facilities, although we were informed there was just one working dryer. I’d stay again for the convenient location but can’t say it warrants 5 stars. We had 3 bars of Verizon 4G. The park offers wifi, but we never got a password so not sure how well it works.

We very much enjoyed our time here! Super adorable for just W&E hookups. There is a dump station. Super nice dog run area. The grounds have excellent wifi. We had AT&T phone service and internet. But no T-Mobile phone service or internet. There is a great grocery store down the road and a fun brewery and coffee shop. Very close to the park gates of sequoia. Exactly the kind of place we were looking for.

On our first visit to California, we were concerned about finding a campsite convenient to Sequoia NP. All of the places we looked at were booked solid except this one, which I can't figure out. It's a pretty basic RV park with all the amenities. The hosts are the nicest people you'll meet - very friendly and helpful with getting us settled. I didn't have a gray water hose to flush my black tank, but they loaned me one. Despite having an advance reservation, it was pick-your-own-spot. With the challenges we had reserving a campsite, we thought there would be few remaining, but we had lots of choices. As others have noted, the front sites are near the paved road so you get some road noise, but it's not heavily trafficked, so not that big a deal. Also agree that the laundry facility is undersized - one of our goals was to do several loads after a week of boondocking, but there were only 2 machines and they were in use.

Close to Sequoia NP and a small town with a few little shops and restaurants. Felt more like camping then an RV park and that’s what we wanted. Nothing fancy about it but it was perfect. Hookups were good. On a little river with a nice little swimming hole. Perfect place for a family trip.

We stayed here two nights while exploring Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Had high expectations after reading the glowing reviews here and they were exceeded by Carlos and Luz's hospitality. The location is the best you could ask for in terms of proximity to the Big Stump entrance of the parks. It was nice to pick out our own spot from the available "short term" sites. Ended up next to the road but heard no noise at all - it's not heavily trafficked, especially at night. Bought tons of camp wood from Carlos and loved sitting by the fire each night after hiking all day. Can't wait to come back! Only thing to note is that there aren't many places up get food nearby, only two restaurants and one gas station. Pizza place was good!

We stayed here one night on our way to visit Kings Canyon National Park. We called ahead for availability and spoke to Luz who was very friendly and informative. When asked how late we could check in she started to just call when we arrived as they would be available. When we arrivaed Carlos and Luz gave us a friendly welcome and showed us the available sites. When enjoyed a very quiet night and woke up in the morning to local geese flying over and some turkeys passing through. We will definitely return.

Stayed 1 night midweek, nice staff on phone and reception. Clean, nice site river front. Could be a little more level. Will come back.

Our family stayed here on our way to visit Kings Canyon National Park. Called ahead and received friendly welcome and information from one of the owners, Luz. Upon arrival, Carlos, the other owner, welcomed me personally and demonstrated the hook up for my husband and offered us our choice of several open sites. We barely saw anyone of heard anything during our stay. It was private and allowed us to relax. Ample room to walk our dog. We didn’t use restrooms or showers so I can’t comment on those. Free WiFi. My son was able to do his remote drum lesson thanks to the internet access and convenient work table near the router. Highly recommend!
